That's why this is the only place I trust for opinion. You lot are the "Grumpy Old Men" of gaming, we're so "Edge" here we even slate Edge every month.

I do like Polygon for news but that's mainly down to their graphics/webdesign people, the writers are egomaniacs... The blatant tokenism of women at IGN is quite fun too.

I'd take her down mid-morph, she wouldn't expect that.

And that's my irk. Sports. All of them. Boring.
This! Professional sportsmen and women should get a flat rate depending on the league level they play at, all of which are capped. Sport should fund science and education.

For my 2p, "persona non grata" is more likely bastardised Latin.

Tinned stews by Goblin...forgot how bad they were...iddy biddy bits of boneshards n' gristle n' they stench a tad of hospital waste, that orange bag ****.

That and this ridiculous new supervisor we got, still a teenager, one of the manager's sons, pure nepotism, plus he's a petulant wee bloater whom I hear has already been talking to female staff like ****e...in for a rude awakening, that lad, mark my words.

What idiot thought that a 8/10 was a low score? (Someone in marketing I'm guessing.)

To many crap magazine and websites giving out 10 out of 10, 100% scores like they're going out of fashion.

Sportsmen and women are vital to society. They provide entertainment and more importantly, hope to everyday people. I have no issue with money they earn in most cases, only when it is to the detriment of sports fans. Football for example, wages are miles too high and as a result, ticket prices are nuts. TV package deals are also anti consumer.

Sport or sportsmen are not the issue. The people that run these things are.

Providing hope to every day people? Hahaha. I am an every day person and the fact that a load of pikies get paid millions every month to kick a ball about does not inspire hope Nakamura, quite the opposite!

They don't produce a goddamn thing. Not a thing!

EDIT: But anyway it's all academic. I'm sure at least 95% of the population would agree with you Nakamura. It's a personal irk basically.

Oops lol. Didn't mean to patronise. Must be one of those loan phrases where the meaning has become different to the direct translation of the actual words.

Sportspeople are important to some members of society, same as actors, musicians, artists, film makers, game makers etc. Some of those are importnt to me, others I don't care about.

Ok I should have said mainly young people in terms of hope. People want to be like them, it gives them something to aspire to. You are being extremely ignorant if you think they offer nothing. That is simply incorrect.

It's a Latin phrase, not an Italian one. Si dice anche in italiano.

They offer very little indeed for their ridiculous paycheques. People want to be like them, sure, and what kind of example do they set? Footballers in particular are very poor role models, with their ridiculously lavish lifestyles and frequent convictions for rape and assault.

They provide false hope if anything. Kids think anything below ?100,000 a week is a crap wage because that's what footballers earn.

And then we get people beating the **** out of each other because they support rival teams.

I didn't say they OFFER nothing. I said they PRODUCE nothing. Like what do they actually produce? You know, apart from the hopes and dreams of a generation (apparently). Even Michael Bay makes stuff.

You are simply incorrect if you think sport is actually even remotely as important as it is puffed up to be.

Sportspeople: make money from exercise and keeping fit and healthy and entertaining some people Vs make money from sitting behind a desk hitting a keyboard for 30 years...... The way they conduct themselves outside of the sport is another matter though and yes, a lot of them need to set a much better example.

If Sport is not important how do you encourage society to enjoy staying healthy?
