EMS package from the UK to Switzerland, posted on the 9th, landed today in Zurich.
EMS package from Switzerland to the UK, sat in UK customs for 2 days.
On the other hand, EMS Japan to Switzerland, posted yesterday, already in a plane.

Got the call back. Apparently the postie that day got sick and put it in the wrong place. Getting it delivered on Monday. End irk.

People who get **** handed to them on a plate

My partners sister earns ?15000 a year and gets ?10500 a year in credits n stuff plus ?180 a month in child benefit and her partner is working on the side for whatever without declaring it, so they get pretty much more than me and always seem to get what they want but I served my country for 23 years and still have to work to pay bills

And people on ukhotdeals, not only are they all (90% maybe) selfish and greedy but they are then smug to others who didn't benefit from a deal due to their greediness

This country is the worst, I swear. At least, many people that occupy it.

            Everything seems so backward.

well not really public money since it's a pension I've been paying into for 23 years, a final salary pension which don't seem to exist any more

That added into my wages is less than what some people get on benefits which was my rant

I wasn't offended but I've paid tax and national insurance all my life and if this is the level of benefits people get I find it offensive especially when they are working on the side

Funny thing is that if I didn't go back to work which I'm finding physically demanding I wouldn't be entitled to anything this year because of what I earned last year and I could only make a claim from April next year for what I've earned since April this year

So leave the service and if there were no jobs I wouldn't have enough money to pay all my bills and could get no help because I was well paid last year - that for me is shocking

If you really want to get annoyed at your tax money being pissed up the wall I give you NHS use of agency staff:

The agency doctors on our ward earn around ?2K a shift depending on hours/rate (upto 10 hours and ?414 p/h according to one I've befriended), and they're not here because anyone called in sick or failed to turn up. Nor are we short staffed, I only work 3 shifts a week, nothing legally stops me working the shifts, one or two have been SHOs but they're certainly not registrars or consultants, the hospital just doesn't offer me/anyone else on staff the shifts despite the fact we'd be willing and it costs 400%-800% as much to go agency. Apparently it's a similar story with nurses in A&E.

Which NHS Trust would that be? I thought they were all run independently of each other?

Homebase Christmas tree is dead already. Just had to decorate it while bits dropped off and half of the Christmas lights aren't working either. It's crooked in the pot, too.

Did you slice the bottom off so it can drink?
