iPad screen repair

Has anyone ever had to get their screen replaced? The wife has mashed mine

Is it in warranty? I smashed the top left corner of the glass in mine (in warranty but no Applecare or a protection-plan) and used the "Service" section on the Apple website, they sent me a box to put my iPad in and post back (I think it went to Holland), I expected they'd look at it and send me a quote but they just automatically sent me what I suspect was a new/refurbished iPad.

There's a place near my office that does it Nick. My mate had his iPhone do e by them, and it looks factory.
