Ridley Scott buys back all DVDs that aren't Director's Cut: http://www.thestudioexec.com/2014/06...back-dvds.html

"I know it's a little late, but better late than never. I realized I'd effed it up. You see, Kingdom of Heaven, the theatrical cut was pretty ropey and so you practically had to buy the director's cut and then there's Black Hawk Down, The Counselor, Robin Hood and for Blade Runner you have about sixteen cuts, more or less. So what I'm offering is this: if you've bought both, then bring them to my house in West Hollywood. Come round the back and knock on the glass cause sometimes we don't hear the bell. I'll let you in and pay you back for the one you don't want. No questions asked."

Ludicrously tired after a day trip yesterday. After school I shall do nothing but play video games, it has been decreed.

Fab day with daughter at food and drink festival.

Put nhk world channel on tv. 50fps hd. Didn't know that was an allowed / supported framerate! Looks cracking.

2nd time out with my lad on his bike without stabilisers and he's riding around the park like a pro. Chuffed as it topped of a particularly nice surprise of a 6% payrise backdated to January from work.

Work has even got better - ie: I'm not sat around twiddling my thumbs but designing and implementing citrix solutions now. And there's a good chance that I'll get into a consultancy role soon.

All I need now is the missus to the job she's applied for and it'll be a winning few weeks.

Definitely needed though - far too many crappy things have happened recently.

Matt lees is back with his awesome E3 abridged vid's, the EA one is my fave, the Golf/Battlefield bit had me in stitches

his sports commentary style run down of the new call of duty trailer is spot on too, i love the way he's pulling the cliches out of the trailers and rating them as if there in their to impress a judge, "oh yes were straight in the mild peril its early but lets see how it pans out"

My dad has had to sell a bike due to health reasons and he sold it to a really nice chap who lives in a cottage in the middle of nowhere.

He sent a lovely postcard and photo back showing the nice home it's gone to and a copy of 28 Days Later, because it's the cottage seen at the end of the film! ("HELL/HELLO"

He said Danny Boyle came to the site incognito and spoke with them and told them to leave the cottage as it was without tidying up so it looked lived in.

The guy who bought the bike seemed a thoroughly lovely man and the fact he took the time to write to my parents means a lot to me.

"There's only one way you'll shift this cough: sell a vehicle." Vehicular retail therapy has no scientific basis unfortunately.

This question in my lab today:
                              3. The weights of math-majors (PMAT, AMAT, ACSC, Statistics, General Math) is a variable that is
normally distributed with a mean weight of 160lbs and a variance of 900lbs^2. Ten math-majors enter one of the elevators on the ground floor of the Mathematical Science Building. The load limit of the elevator is 2000lbs. What is the probability that the elevator will be ‘overloaded’?
