Some nice goals here, a few real ones of mine are..

Work on my core muscles to improve posture. I made good progress with this last year but repeated illness, wife illness and everything else pushed it right down as a priority. I'm not designed for full on workouts, it would finish me off but core work is worthwhile.

Work more on my part time writing, I am interviewing someone at the moment for Retro Gamer and want to have at least six articles published this year.

Spoil my wife rotten. I already have our 6th wedding anniversary planned for 28th February.

Get back to making music, that is huge for me. So many ideas, no time or knowledge of how to use good music software.

    See more old friends.

    Buy Majoras Mask.

Sort out girlfriend's 40th bday... Waaaah what to do?!
Make an app and learn how to first.
Prepare for a big year at work.
      Train for 10k run.
      Get a new phone.
get ready for baby number 3!!!

Try and play video games in between.

oh yeah, thanks Nakas. Try to get back to making music.

I need to sell my car by the end of this month, so that's kind of priority number 1.
I need to buy a new tv, bigger than the one I actually own now. I've done a bit of research, but I just need to bite the bullet and spend the cash. The general consensus is that the new range of tv's come out in the next couple of months, so I'm trying to wait out to see if I can pick up an older model slightly cheaper than what they are now.
Decide whether to apply for the Chester half marathon or not.
Make a start on my 'watch 50 films in a year' target.

          Loads to do.

Decided to do The Sheffield Half Marathon.
Loads of stuff to do around the house.
Should try a bit harder at work to become an assistant head.
Most pressing though is to get my New Astro City up and running after having to take it apart to get it upstairs. Monitor and sound issues. I think I will just pay someone to do it, I have no interest in the electrical side of things - I just want a cab. My PCB of Zealand Story keeps looking at me.

I have a lot to do this year but it's not all easy to lay out in a list, which is probably a sign that I need to work more on the goals themselves. So here is a vague run down:

Make some money to keep me and my family alive without any bull****.
Sow some seeds for things that will grow bigger and pay off down the line while making the world a better place.
            Have more fun.
Seriously consider what I want to do when I grow up (turning 40 this year...).
            Maybe start a small revolution.

That kind of covers it. A lot of you guys seems to have much more concrete goals. I envy concrete goals. I'm pretty serious about mine, I just don't yet know what form they will take.

Oh and congrats on the engagement, Wools!

                        Move house

That's about the most important thing at the moment.

                        Everything else is non essential.

Although I will Join Speedy in hopefully finally getting my hands on a PC-Engine Duo.

I might even try my hand at this here writing thing that so many of you seem to be doing
And I might finally get back to gym.

Oh & finally win that damn F'ing lottery!!!!!

                        Neil

Ah, good call. I need to get back to writing the book I started in 2010. At the very least type up what I've written so far.

                            Embrace being 40 in June.

Enjoy married life (getting married on Saturday!)

Finish renovating our house and garden.

                            Grow fruit and vegetables.

Buy a PS4 but not play online obsessively.

                            See more of my kids.

                            Don't get stressed about money.

Continue to think and act positively as I have depressive tendencies.

Great thread! (both serious ones and jokes )

Get fit again after my injury - did 15 miles in the driving rain on Saturday (rather a lot more than intended), so I am getting there.
Do an ultramarathon (anything 30 miles+). Maybe a 50k or 100k. Very scared about this one, which I suppose makes it a good one.
Get a Guiness World Record (yes this is serious). I'm sure I can beat the previous record.
Go mountain biking at Lake Tahoe.

On a less selfish note, spend more time with my kids and family.
