Bah, Japan fails again! I headed out this morning not even sure if the shop would be open - it was! But no new sets. I showed the staff a pic of the ghostbusters HQ and they had never seen it before. Asked them when it might be in stock, "I have no idea!"

Humbug. Tempted to order from the U.S. site and have it shipped by a forwarding service.

Edit - I did order from the website. 10 minutes later I got a message they had cancelled my order because they won't ship to forwarding/freight companies. I guess I will have to make regular trips to the Legoland shop on the off chance they get some stock in.

That forwarding service probably would have charged more to ship the set than the set costs! It's gonna be heavy as hell.

New bits are on the UK site this morning. Brick Bank is ?120, Ghostbusters HQ a snip at ?275. Gonna wait for double points or something before grabbing the bank, I think.

The HQ looks amazing but too much for me. Would probably spend that on more varied smaller sets.

Actually, I went to Hamleys in Dublin yesterday to pick up some Force Awakens Lego. They had only two Star Wars sets in the entire store - the Ewok Village and a small Stormtrooper set. Everything else had sold out. Lego must have made a killing this Christmas.

Got Poe's X-Wing yesterday. Looking forward to getting stuck into that and putting it beside my older Luke's X-Wing as a set. Doesn't seem like there is much in it for the price but the model itself looks great in the pics. Getting Force Awakens Lego is dangerous because I might not stop...

My son had the X-Men Vs. Sentinel pack for Christmas and I had he had lots of fun making it!

It's ages 6-12 and he's only 4, so I helped him make it. I made sure that he put it together, I just got the right parts ready and told him to "look at the picture" so he'd understand how they went together. It was mildly frustrating, but I didn't just want to do it all for him. He did really well.

It's funny though, because, like The Lego Movie father and son, I like to follow the instructions and he loves mixing things up.
A day after we'd built it, Magneto had Iron Man's helmet, Cyclops hat a Bat-a-rang and Wolverine had Storm's beautiful flowing hair!

I built this the other day and have to say it looks just amazing, the colour scheme works so well, much better than it looks in pictures. I love the new mechanism for the wings. I have mine placed alongside my 6212 X-Wing and the First Order Tie-Fighter. Have the UCS Red Five X-Wing that im just dying to built but i dont have the room at the moment, our little flat is full of Lego, my missus wont stand for any more

I built Poe's X-wing last night. Looks really good! Actually at times during the build, I found myself wondering if it was just a little too fancy. Is that weird? I guess Lego has lost some of its simplicity. But the flip side is that this looks great and new details such as the visors in the helmets look wonderful. The colours are gorgeous. I popped Luke's X-wing in one of the pics to compare...

So I took another trip out to the Osaka Legoland today on the offchance they would have the GB HQ, this is the third time since New Year I've gone to check and I figured after today I would just give up (any exclusive stock coming in is usually very limited and would sell out without me ever knowing they had it, unless I went every single week to check).

Even before I was in the shop I could see the HQ on the shelf. Only one, but with a note saying if you want it to ask the staff. I didn't even hesitate (although I probably should have). They had two behind the counter, pre-wrapped in a plastic bag with a carry handle. That mother is HEAVY. Really glad I didn't get it shipped now! It was a bit like hauling a sack of coal home. Lucky me, my wife was out too so it was a successful smuggling operation.

That's half my winter bonus gone in one fell swoop. I'll try to stay away from expensive stuff for the rest of 2016. Haha.

With a couple of Star Wars UCS this year, rumoured hoth battle but more importantly Snow Speeder which will go nicely with the other 3 that I have (slave 1, red 5 and tie fighter)
then the sand crawler sometime this year aswell

just a couple this week the red obi-wan Jedi fighter, to go with Anakins yellow one from 2014. And a couple of the new Star Wars battle packs

Congrats Darwock! I thought that you may never get hold of one, and to smuggle it back into your home without the wife realising is a double bonus. Not sure how you are going to display without her seeing it tho, lol.
