And the bluray collection was how much? I think I paid $80 for mine, which wasn't unreasonable, but they were discs at least.

Not sure why you'd want to own the prequel trilogy anyway. I paid ?25 for a steelbook of the original trilogy on BR, which I felt was fair.

I don't hate ep1-3. They're still better than many, many movies. People can't see past the nostalgia of the original trilogy.

I disagree with the idea that criticism of the prequel trilogy is down to nostalgia attached to the originals rather than them simply being poor movies. I agree with them being better than many, many movies. But regardless of the original movies, I think expecting really good movies whether Star Wars or any other movie is not unreasonable. There are too many good movies in existence both past and present to excuse the crappy ones.

Regardless - yes, unblinkered by nostalgia, the prequels are simply poor films. They could've been non Star Wars flicks and I would still have thought they were crap.

Saying a movie is 'better than loads of other movies' isn't saying much. Yeah I'd rather watch Episode 1 than Fool's Gold, Dungeons & Dragons or Dumb and Dumber To. But then I'd also rather hoover the floor or sort out my post.

Too bad those Blu releases have the extra rubbish CG added to the good Trilogy. Hated hated hated that.
