shafty said they where marvel and lumped in all comic book movie's with the same thing, they are all marvel IP so you can see why he would link the movie's.

Spidy is tied in with Sony while xmen are tied with 20th Century Fox. This is why you wont see the xmen or Spider man in the avengers films.

      Ya I know, pedant etc.

I thought Avengers was pretty enjoyable but it isn't like I'm rushing out to see the individual titles.

I was mightily impressed with captain America Two, but a lot less impressed with Ironman two and three and the Thor's spin offs left me pretty cold. The Guardian of the galaxy films are a different beast that rare thing these days a good sci fi film.

going back to spider man this pic surfaced the other day

I love that picture, Lebowski! It's by Mauricio Abril. He's doing the promo art for Assassin's Creed: Unity.

I partially agree about the overwhelming tidal wave of superhero movies in that 39 films in the next 6 years seems insane, but we need to remember a couple of things:
          1. This isn't one studio, this includes Marvel, Disney, Warner Brothers, Fox and Sony.
          2. We're not used to this level of planning in the movie world where you make one film and if it's a success make one or two sequels, but in comics, they plan story arcs way-ahead.

For example, next year, Marvel are doing a return to Civil War, Age of Ultron Vs. Marvel Zombies, Planet Hulk, Armour Wars and Secret Wars amongst others.

I kind of like that we've been told that there's a set series of films coming out.
I'll focus on the Marvel Studios films that tie-in together, but I'm really not fussed about DC. If any get a good review I might see them and the Venom/Carnage film could be interesting by focussing on anti-heroes.

My irk is that you can't go on social media without somebody posting a spoiler.
I'm a few weeks behind on Doctor Who and somebody posted the poster revealing who the mysterious woman was.
The photo above the studios filming the Star Wars sequels showed

the Millennium Falcon and an X-Wing

          .
I go on Twitter and one site's tweet says "return of familiar faces" in The Avengers 2 and the next tweet from another site says who they are!

I don't watch trailers of films I plan on seeing because I'm already convinced and you can only see something for the first time once, and I'd rather see it in the context of the film.
          I can't unsee the

          Enterprise crashing

in Star Trek into Darkness, for example, but even if I'm actively avoiding finding out spoilers, everybody else seems to be falling over themselves to tell you every iota of information they can find, whether you want to know or not! Grrr

I very much doubt we'll see all 39. Personally though, I love many of these superhero movies and who would have dreamed 20 years ago that we would have this many awesome superhero movies? I wouldn't have. I didn't think Marvel could keep it going this long and they may still crash and burn before Avengers 3 and 4 but it's looking a lot less likely. So I'm thankful for them.

As I say to my kids at the dinner table, don't yuk somebody elses yum.

At least it isn't like sport which, for some reason still unknown to me, makes the news. Actually given how popular they are, I think we should replace sport with comic movie news.

That's why it's odd they've announced so many. When the first DC tent-pole movie flops, there's no way they'll be making the Plastic Man movie.

I still have the Spider-Man script by James Cameron somewhere. I remember reading Spider-ManHype.com patiently waiting for a movie to be greenlit! They're like buses these days.

How could you possibly generalise with such a sweeping statement? Your contact with older people must be pretty limited to think like that.

Signed up for cable internet. It's a lot better than what we had before and the new router is a dual-band ABGN model. Unfortunately it's been dumbed-down so I can't set any DNS settings for the DHCP server side of things, only the scope and lease time.

So that means I have to set Unblock-Us on each device I want to watch Netflix/etc on.

Right now it's just the PS3 so relatively painless but it's still a bit annoying. I'm contemplating leaving the previous Buffalo router on the network to handle DHCP only(if that's even possible. I'll have to check) or I could daisy-chain the Buffalo and relegate the cable box to modem duties but its wifi range is so much better.

Maybe he thought you were trying to jump the queue?

Do you have a separate modem? If so, try this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TP-Link-TL...item418201e4ff
Bargain. And lets you apply DNS of your choosing. No QoS options though, but line is fast enough not to worry about that now. (40/8)

To be honest, I'm happy having a separate BT modem - it means all the kit required for the connection is provided by them, so if there's no DSL light on the modem, it's their fault.

Cheers. It's a modem/router but I have a cable router already(buffalo). It's just messy running both and also the buffalo's wifi range is worse.

I don't even think the buffalo can do dhcp the way I'm envisaging it but it'll be fun finding out!

                        :update:

                        DID IT!

After lots of faffing around(the router's pages are all in Japanese with no way to change the language) I've got my routers set up:

                        Cable modem/router - Wireless on/DHCP off
Buffalo cable router - Wireless off/DHCP on/NAT off

Buffalo connected to cable router through LAN socket, not WAN
Buffalo handles DHCP on the network, cable modem does routing. Buffalo DHCP set to hand out Unblock-Us DNS to clients.

Working as expected. A whole lot of hassle but I'm sure it'll pay off when I randomly decide to watch Netflix on something other than the PS3

It was mainly a tongue-in-cheek comment (did nobody read my library rap ffs?).

                          However...

Both my grandfathers were/are rascist and sexist. The main topic they discussed when together was how women's brains aren't built from driving. My last remaining one literally told me I would come back from Japan "with slitty eyes".
Go back a page or two to where I was explaining about the fire downtown causing the cable to go on the fritz when the middle-aged guest I was talking to just walked away while I was mid-sentence.
I know these are purely extreme examples, and that there are lots of different people out there.

Oh but don't forget how young speedy is, so "old" is probably late-40s to early 60s. Septuagenarians and older are much nicer as they were brought up with manners (but there are exceptions to that as well of course).

I read your library rap. It's awesome. I vote for EB to do a video of the rap.

Speaking of which, where's the original dramatic reading, EB? Has it been deleted? Can't find it anywhere...
