Video game review embargoes, they're getting to the point now where a review can only go live hours before release. I want to know if a game's good enough to pre-order not order on release and wait for it to be delivered a few days after.

Don't blame you as every new game needs a ?40 season pass these days that's included in the game of the year version 12 month later. Season passes is another irk but better save this for the gaming irk thread lol.

This page on top 10 worst controllers which somehow manages to cuss both the N64 AND the GC pads and accuses the GC and Saturn pads of having digital triggers.

I never had a problem with the N64 pad when I used it. Yes, the tiny C-buttons were silly in my eyes but that was it. He doesn't seem to understand that the Z-button was used instead of L or R depending on how you held the controller(99% of the time replacing L).

Gamecube buttons were funky but I also had no problems using it. Yes, something like Soul Calibur would be weird on it but for other games it was fine for me. And he seems to think the triggers weren't pressure sensitive. Really? The coolest thing about the controller was the analogue+digital triggers(the click at the end of the press was like my BMW accelerator pedal's sports mode).

I won't complain much about the Saturn 3D pad review other than the analogue triggers muck-up. Yes, it looks funky but I never felt uncomfortable using it and I'm very picky about controllers.

GameCube pad is the worst pad ever created by Nintendo. Hate it

Love the GC pad. Dual Shock have always made my hands ache though, 1 2 3 and 4.

It's useless for the vast majority of games! Painful C stick. Useless D pad. Spongy triggers.
                Nice buttons at least.

I've grown to love the DS3. Those triggers aren't at all slippery for me as I don't sweat like some and they are so comfy for racing games.

I hate the DS3 triggers. In situations where I dodn't have use of the BR remote it skips the video if I don't put it down like Indiana Jones replacing booby-trapped treasure.

My hands are quite dry so they're as slippery for me as for a sweaty person. If I hold them nearer the pivot it's better but I rarely play racing games so it's not a big deal when gaming. They do feel strange because I'm used to triggers and I think it's telling that all fps games I've played on it default to R1 for shooting instead of R2 like on xbox.

I love that they've stuck with the design this long, though. They're comfortable and I never have major trouble using them.

Yeah, true. Unlike Sony and MS, Nintendo make controllers for their games and others have to play along.

I get the annoying skipping when putting the DS3 down too! That is annoying!

Yep. I love the GC pad for a couple of games. If I remember correctly it worked great for Wind Waker. But for most games, it was not remotely suitable.

Worked well with Wind Waker indeed. I also heard it works superbly with Smash Bros but never played it.

I could sit and play Pikmin for hours with no problem but have had clawhands from BF3 after only 2 or 3 hours. Let us not forget PlayStation thumb from Tekken games!

GameCube pad, arguably best Nintendo has made. Dual Shock is positively awful, no idea how it has barely changed over four iterations.

Sent my iPhone for a battery replacement. Came back with an older iOS than I'd had and so now won't restore the backup. I have to set it up as a new phone, download the update which takes frikkin forever for some reason and then wipe and restore all over again. The joy of Apple.

Weird. Are you sure it's still the same phone!?
