Someone sent me a video of someone that had just had their legs run over (detached) by a train the other day.

    I was not pleased.

Secondly, what kind of ****ed up individual would think "Oh, I'll film that and put it on the internet!". Fantastic.

I had a metal lock on my bike but it was a ?20 lock and my bike got nicked, Do i carry on using the same ?20 bike lock or do I get a more secure system to keep my bike safe. Some might say Ignoring the dangers of leaving my bike with proven poor security is a pretty negligent thing to do.

If you left your keys in the car and it was stolen, you're still a victim but your insurance is hardly going to pay out and the police aren't going to care to much just because you told them it was a nice neighbourhood so should be able to leave the engine running whilst you grab your milk and a news paper, they will think you are a twit for not preventing such robbery

The victim certainly isn't to blame and these things should never ever happen but that's not the world we live in as much as we would like to be.

The chances are they probably didn't expect them to be safe on the iCloud because they likely didn't even know they were there. Auto upload could have been on, the pics deleted from their phone after playing around and they hadn't realised it was sent to the cloud by this point. People have far too much power in their pockets now then what they realize..

I think it takes me back to my point that people should have to take a test to be given a smartphone/internet access so they appreciate just how easy it is for mistakes to happen and what that device has the capability to do.

This gets to me to. When OLED first came out in mass production in phones I saw so many people with smashed to buggery Samsung Galaxy's.... Wound me up no end, all those years of waiting for potentially the perfect display and they break the screen whilst knocking back jager bombs in weather spoons.

People should really appreciate the technology in their pocket, along with an internet test they should also be checked to see if they will understand and appreciate what they have before they are allowed it..... yea yea sounds all a bit hitler. Oh well

2.7ghz quad core. Whilst the CPU's arent up to desktop scratch, the clock speeds are incredible to think it's something sitting in your pocket

You need those Cpu speeds when your phone is running Java!

This reminds me of that hilarious PSP thread with forumites complaining about kids with PSPs who don't appreciate them. The same forumites who'd waste a whole PSP on some crap niche Japanese RPGs instead of installing custom firmware and playing Pandemonium on popstation or Outrun C2C at 333mhz like I did.

I agree that people should appreciate technology but how do you define appreciation? I dropped my iPhone 4S and the screen glass smashed. If someone told me I didn't appreciate my phone enough I'd tell them to piss off.

I agree with you and I also think manufacturers are in on it, too. When you're constantly hounded to get the latest and greatest thing - and you're able to buy said thing easily - the worth of each individual thing diminishes somewhat.

The NSA needs that power for all the tracking software running in the background.

Today's irk - went to a meeting. Person we were meeting said then and there that another meeting had run over seemingly forever and he'd have to reschedule. So then it was a journey back where we encountered roadworks or an accident or something causing crazy traffic and detours and it took us ages. For no meeting.

Get her to check the ingredients next time eastyy and tell her you saved money for her to buy handbags and shoes (sorry that sounds very stereotypical).

Dogg Thang, think yourself lucky, we have meetings about meetings quite often.

It was a meeting with someone I'll want considerable amounts of money from in the future so it would have been a meeting about a meeting about money, which would have been a good meeting. Or at least an important one.
