yea he is a really nice guy to work for. He's supportive in particular because it's exactly what he did when he was my age. Left a very comfortable job at IBM and took a risk else where and it paid off, he said he will do what he can to make sure my opportunity goes as well as his. I can't ask any more than that !

If I didn't get offered this job I wouldn't be looking to leave where I am. A decent opportunity came up and I was asked to interview for it.

yea the commute is a killer. It's about 90 minutes each way. The hours are a bit less then what I currently do so that helps though. Doesn't help when someone decides to lay down on the tracks or the weather is slightly worse than average so I end up stuck in London but I suppose thats the risk.

One of the first jobs I landed had a 2 hours commute, a mix between train, tube, and bus (or walking), and this when I bought a GBA. If you have that much time and you're lucky enough to get on the train/whatever early on the line, the trip can actually be comfortable. Except when trains break down and you don't know when you'll get home.

My commute is 3-5 minutes by car, 10 if the traffic/weather is bad or a 20 minute brisk walk. I love my Job and the commute really makes a difference, I am done and in the house 15 mins after work with a cup of tea, beer or whatever it makes a hell of a difference I wouldn't change it for more money. I have always treated commute/travel time as work time so even though I work more hours at my desk than I have in the past I'm in reality about 7-8 hours a week up

My commute is a 48.6 mile round trip. You need to get a motorbike, makes it a fun thing to do rather than a chore/neccessity.

My commute is 20 - 30 minute bus ride (depending on traffic). I did the whole commuting into London for about 6 months while I was looking for a place (from Oxfordshire). It's not great but it's bearable, you just need to ensure you have plenty of portable games with you! My PSV and 3DS made the train journey each way enjoyable, even.

Also I found that having just come out of work, my mind was often unusually focused. I smashed out Mario Kart 7 and 3 starred everything inside a week.
