Out...
I was driving past a new property develoment the other day and it was like legoland, i've thought this before many times, but it struck me that almost every average priced development is like a mirror image these days.. Three story, no space, no character, purpose built for a country in dire shortage of building space.
Someone in my family qouted the other day that it costs the UK ?50m per day to remain in europe.
?50 million per day just for membership...not counting the innumerable extra cost because we are such a desirable country to flock to(barely checked mass immigration), not only in the short term(benefits/schools/nhs), but for future generations who might be directly effected by some of the diminishing conditions. School rooms with 50+ kids anyone?
The 3 months benefit wait time is pathetic too, the poorest EU immigrants are used to living on next to nothing so 3 months for your ticket to disneyland isn't a long time to wait. 12 months would be a good start.
Ultimately though despite the pressure on the economy, the fact this is a tiny island is the most worrying thing to me. Why should we be allowed to become this overcrowded? I would bet everything i own that in 20 years time a massive percentage will look back and see that EU membership, and in turn loose immigration, was a terrible turning point for this country.
Naive, privileged boys club leadership at its best.
