Come on folks, this forum has been running for what, thirteen years now?

There's a good chance Stejay joined when he was a spritely 91 years old - and I hate to say it, but I haven't seen him posting regularly (or at all)... could be that he's no longer with us, but his membership carries on into eternity.

One day in the 22nd century there might be a thread discussing all the various members who are well into their 100s but no longer post. Ahem.

No-one wants to hear his stories about chasing a hoop with a stick.

I remember those days. Sitting on the pavement, hoop in my hand, waiting for the stick firmware to update.

And if you sat there for too long, the Apple Tree brought out a brand new stick that you had to queue for hours to get.

Looking at people's ages on here, reminded me how long this forum has been going. Wow, it's been a long time since some of us were discussing the upcoming release of the original Xbox back in 2003!

Is any current user 60 or over or are we all young 'uns?

Ah, the golden days of hoop and stick.

These days, you have to pre-order the hoop to get the whole thing and essentially, it's either a high definition version of a hoop you've already played with or the next generation of hoop, which (if you're honest with yourself) is just the same as the last hoop, just a little shinier. Also the hoop will require a day one patch to work, probably bigger than the hoop. Although it comes with a stick, you won't be able to use the whole thing until you pay for extra a few months down the line, despite it being included with the stick when it shipped.

We shouldn't complain though, because before long, you won't use a stick of joy, it'll be dumbed down for casual hoopers and just be a big, dumb, touch-control tyre.
