If the commons backs a customs union approach in todays Indicative Voting the UK could leave by 22 May
But Cabinet Brexiteers have repeated that they will never agree to such a thing even if there is a majority for one.
The title was begging to happen though...

No, she's ordered cabinet ministers to boycott the indicative votes. Not the same thing.
Interestingly, with where this is heading, it's ironic that the very thing that was supposed to hold the conservative party together will be the very thing that fractures it in two.Last edited by MartyG; 01-04-2019, 14:41.

Seems MP's are likely to rally around the customs union plan. It may sound like a compromise to move forward but there's no way I can mentally get on board with that option without a second referendum attached, it's a move that once passed will get picked apart from all sides as it ultimately gets them through to the next stage with ultimately nobody happy as it pleases hardly anyone. If you cannot accomplish your core goals of leaving then don't leave.

Looking at how close two of the options came to passing, surely a third round with the Customs Union plan combined with a Second Referendum is the way to go now? They'd lose some votes but would carry the entirety of the SNP votes across to the CU plan and stand a potential chance to finally get a majority through on something?

Pretty much, unless the EU rolls their eyes and throws 4 more weeks at us in a last ditch desperate attempt they're going to fail. The laugh is a second ref would likely see any of several options pass through, that's how stubborn they are as they hypocritically revote again and again to now end

He's a vile human that has consistently voted for bills that penalise the working class and the disabled. I don't understand how anyone could think he's anything but an elitist wannabe.
