An impeached president can still be re-elected. He's not been found guilty, and won't be because of the witness fiasco and his mates in charge of proceedings.

The Senate has voted and Trump is acquitted. It may be four more years or more away but a heavy price will eventually be owed on those who let this happen, history and a future change in government will not be kind...

One last historic mark against him was made though as Mitt Romney became the first member of an impeached Presidents party to vote for his Presidents removal from office when he voted Guilty on the first charge. It is also the first impeachment verdict in history where the opposition party has voted unanimously against the President.
