I don't get why Trump's DHS would be doing this, well other than he's a clueless moron - this doesn't benefit Trump as the BLM protests have broad support across the US. Even if the arrests cause unrest, it's not improving your chances of re-election, it's actually damaging them. Well, I suppose unless you arrest everyone who isn't going to vote for you.

        Deep Breath:

In the 48hrs following his breakdown at his 'Campaign' event Kanye West has unravelled hard accusing Kim Kardashian of trying to get him locked up by Doctors, her of inappropriateness for meeting Meek Mill at a hotel to discuss Prison Reform, naming his mother in law Kris Jong-Un, calling the pair White Supremacists and claiming he's been trying to divorce Kim.

Whilst Trump holds his first COVID Briefing in months and painted a more solemn script reading figure as he stated that the Coronavirus pandemic in the US will get worse before it gets better, he also said for the public to wear face masks as part of a far too belated push to claw back some credibility over his handling of the virus.

Axios-Ipsos poll shows 31% of respondents believe number of Americans dying from virus is smaller than public data portrays

Meanwhile the US public have been surveyed and 31% now believe that the US death count for Coronavirus is less than the official figures. The larger the pandemic grows in the US the more moron denials it seems to attract it seems.

Global cases as a whole are about to reach 15m cases.

I give Trump three press briefings till he's back to his real self - there's no way he can resist spouting what he really thinks rather than what he's been advised to say, probably sooner on his Twitter account, in fact just 22 hours ago he was posting that the US is doing better than "most other countries" which is of course utter nonsense. There's no way he can keep to the script for more than a couple of days.

If his polling continues to get worse we're probably going to see him become fully unhinged on the podium

You forgot to mention when questioned about Ghislaine Maxwell's imprisonment, Trump said:
"I just wish her well, frankly. I've met her numerous times over the years...I just wish her well, whatever it is"

I feel like I've read about a number of murders connected to this over the last while and yet they don't seem to be getting much coverage in terms of people putting them all together. Anyway, yeah, she's not long for this world.

There is some vague truth to this, and it applies not just to the US, but if you have Covid but die from something unrelated (let's say get hit by a car), the positive test still counts in the stats and you get marked down as a Covid death. Sure it's only a small percentage and definitely not on the scale probably that some of the denialers claim.

Going to guess that's massively outweighed by those that haven't been marked as Covid deaths because they were never tested. We also had that "good news" story over here about our figures, conveniently forgetting that only weeks before it had come out that deaths were sweeping through retirement homes and they weren't being marked as Covid deaths because nobody felt it worth their while testing them.

The best way to gauge the number of Covid deaths is to compare the average death rate with the same time in previous years.

Yeah, there are going some to be some deaths that are indirectly related to it, like cancer sufferers not getting as much treatment whilst the hospitals locked down and old people not exercising as much and having a fall, but it's going to show the rough amount more that have died.

Calgary voted on mandatory masks last night and passed the bylaw, coming into effect August 1st. Similar exemptions to the UK. Similar covidiots protesting about their freedom, blah blah.

Which I shouldn't joke about. Oops.

People complained that the mayor should have waiting until the provincial government made them mandatory, the mayor countered that he wouldn't wait for a lifeguard to save a drowning kid, so why should they wait to stop the spread of Covid-19?
The provincial government has it's head in the sand and decided yesterday that schools will be back in person WITH NO CHANGE TO CLASS SIZES in September. So that's 40 kids in a class unless some parents think better (imagine some will keep their kids online, but that's not an option for some).

US death toll at more than 142,000 while Trump admits Covid-19 crisis will ‘get worse before it gets better’

More than 1,000 people have died in the US in 24hrs from COVID for the first time since June.
