The Corbyn wing of the Labour is backing Rebecca Long-Bailey as it places all Labour loss blame on Brexit and seeks a similar figure to replace him. Morons.
In the end, it all comes down to practicality for me. You have to win elections to do anything. I think Labour should present someone who is more of a centrist, with a mindset to fixing some of the immediate problems with a leftist mindset, and intending to take the country further to the left over successive parliament terms, rather than trying to do everything in one go.
Momentum won't tolerate this, though. They want a full-on leftist, and they see anything less as a person with a Labour tie who bleeds blue.

I'm surprised Corbyn even wants to stay on as leader of Labour at this point, he's going to get mauled at PMQs.

Sucks to be the BBC. At the weekend the Tories accused the Beeb of being anti-Conservative and confirmed plans to review various aspects of the BBC including whether to savage its funding by decriminalising the license fee.
Today Labour accuses the BBC of being anti-Labour saying it played its part in the defeat of Labour in the GE.

Laura Kunsberg has regularly been found to be anything other than impartial, she was super quick to jump on story's like the fake hospital punch up and the fake Leeds nurse and report them as fact without even checking sources or credibility.
News Night regularly has plants that are presented as members of the public and then turn out to be Tory councilors or donators with really strong links to the party. You regularly get stuff on their that goes unchallenged like the idiot complaining about how he's earning 80 Grand a year and that's not a high Salary. not to mention how they seem to champion red tab newspaper slurs by creating graphics of Corbyn in redsquare
A study conducted by the Media Reform Coalition and published by the Birkbeck University found that the the BBC has consistently given more time and prominence to Corbyn’s critics than his supporters. In giving his critics twice as much airtime the broadcaster is not criticizing Corbyn directly and is therefore free of accountability.

Channel 4 substituted Johnson with a block of ice, was riducled for hiding in a fridge, lamblasted for stealing a reporter's phone and chastised for not showing up for Andrew Neil. Corbyn got bad press because he was a weak leader, the media coverage wasn't the issue, moreso the man, the fence sitting and the messaging of the wishlist of policies from the 70s.
If the Labour party fail to take proper stock, they're just condeming themselves to further failure down the road, especially if Johnson by some miracle manages to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat.Last edited by MartyG; 16-12-2019, 15:37.
