They should be focusing their efforts on creating us permanent fitted face masks, like Bain. We can consume nutrients through a straw plus we wouldn’t need teeth.

After a lot of back and forth masks will become mandatory in England supermarkets and shops from 24 July in a move that I can easily imagine was decided on only when someone at No.10 said 'but if we make them mandatory everyone will need to buy them which will help the economy!'
It's not masks that are mandatory so I'm not sure why the media is specifically saying masks, it's "face coverings"; wrap a scarf around your face and you won't be fined.
Given the price of masks will be jacked up and sold out by the end of today, that's just as well.
10 days to shop until masks are mandatory... Ugh, well that means you better avoid shops for the next 10 days. Anyone who opposes this is going to go nuts for buying stuff so they don't have to go shopping for a while.

They've said up to 120,000 is a worst case scenario without any other mitigating factors - not good, but let's not over egg the pudding; they haven't said 120,000+ are going to die.
Shops, particularly supermarkets, should have to supply masks to customers at the front door at the very least.
The reason for the delay in applying this politically expedient and therefore even more fatuous piece of legislation is that those observing lockdown properly have only been going to one shop, their supermarket of choice, throughout.
Where are they going to get their masks from? They're going to have to go to into there nearest town/mall and find a shop that sells them. You see the problem?
The lunatics are in charge of the asylum or should that be sanatorium?
The British government's worst case scenario envisages a coronavirus death toll of 50,000 if self isolation is not fully adhered to, but the United Kingdom is not right now on course for a toll of that scale, a source familiar with the government's emergency discussions said. The worst case death toll would be based on partial adherence to quarantine by the population at a level of about 50%, according to the government scenario, the source said.
50,000 was knocked around as the worst case figure and we're over 44,000. Apparently 20,000 was seen as a good outcome back then so the Tories have failed miserably to succeed at their own goals.
