The reports say "suspect" - thing is the task force (that seems to keep getting funding from the Home Office) has pointed the finger at a dozen or so suspects over the years, in 2019 it was Martin Ney who was convicted of killing three children.

From what I've been reading this chap was living in the area and, shocker, people saw his car in the area. The Daily Mail has a big article on this, but is littered with the use of the word paedophile and I'm a bit loathed to link it on here - thing is, although they do try to tie him to sexual offences on young girls, there's not much in the way of details and it doesn't sound like he spent much time in prison before this rape conviction. Also the Portugese authorities eliminated him as a suspect at the time.

Maybe more details will be leaked, they'll have to be given the restrictions they have in Germany around privacy laws.
