The day the test was faint (Tuesday) was the worst for fever and everything else except hardly a cough. Wednesday I took a test anyway and it was a solid positive by then but I woke up not feeling too bad just a bit rough and a bit more of a cough but today it started well to immediately the cough getting me once I was up and getting random giddiness (probably aftermath of the coughing, I only notice when up and about the flat).

My stepdad who started the exchange is pretty much back to normal just after a week of getting the symptoms but still testing positive. I really hope I get back to work on Monday but I suspect it will be more likely Wednesday (I have to have 2 negative tests taking daily after 5 days from the first symptoms with positive test). I genuinely do not know what pay, if any, I'll get whilst being off.

Still, the student I am helping witness with her nursing training has been bugging me about her work so might do some of that tomorrow if I can handle it as before I got sick they said if I marked stuff outside of work hours I could claim overtime so I might get the odd tenner back.

That's just great, already have things I've been on diabetes watch for years now, now covid is gonna try and push me to get it.

Woke up to the loss of sense of smell this morning which is frankly freaky

Out the other end now but had to ride the entire timeframe. Always makes me curious what they means for if I'd have caught it pre-vaccine

No better man. With all your kids, you've shown you're able for it.

                That's what you meant, right?

It's so wierd. Putting your nose in a jar of coffee and smelling nothing at all is just so wrong.

It's estimated 1 in 13 people has Covid, an all-time high in England.

I've not seen a follow up on the erectile dysfunction story yet...

Too much info but I was in the bathroom after a lie in and my nightshirt I've lived in the last 2 days didn't smell at all. I sniffed the radox bath stuff and febreze spray, nothing. I finally sprayed Flash bathroom spray in the sink and on my hands (I love the smell of that in the bathroom/white CIF) and practically drew a line of that **** under my nose and couldn't smell anything.

I took a swig of strong mouthwash (I don't usually use mouthwash as it makes me gag) and I could taste it but about 30 % it's punch.

It's very slightly improved as I could taste my coffee (my mum hasn't lost her smell at all but can't bare the smell or taste of coffee atm apparently) but branflakes tasted as bland as always but more with water than milk.

So after two years and never officially having it (though i suspect had it several times) now a confirmed positive, felt rough past few days but thought it was just a cold and exhaustion but then the wife yesterday got very very bad...coughing and hard to breathe so got antigen tests and both positive

As one starts a journey, another ends it, first negative test today which means in back to work tomorrow. The bloke lost his sense of smell yesterday but he is already getting some of it back.

I advise getting some lozenges and drink plenty of water. I had 2 very rough days but the worst/ long lasting thing for me was at first a sticky dry throat (that lasted at least 5 days but comes back a bit) and the dizziness has been quite worrying like I feel I've done a crazy sneeze but it's every time I move.

The wife was hit hard, coughing, being sick, breathing difficulties but she got a really bad sore throat I had to go to chemist to get some spray as throat lozenges did not really cut it

My mum suffers from IBS and apparently that and vomiting has been bad for her but she started testing negative a few days ago luckily.

I'm back at work today (needed 2 negative tests so technically can come in on day of 2nd test). Luckily I'm just witnessing some trainees to do some marking and write up witness statements for their nursing degree. Everyone has been very nice (I was one of the few who until now didn't catch covid 19) but I'm incredibly shaky but glad I'm not running around on a proper shift today. My manager didnt like how I looked when I came in and asked me if I wanted to go home but I need to get these damn reports done especially since I'm gonna be on my delayed honeymoon for 2 weeks soon and so we want to get ahead, it's only because we were ahead before we are ok since I've been off for 2 weeks.

Anyone had any experience in the UK getting a certificate of recovery to use to fly to the US? Looks like a total arse to apply for/ pay for so far as I can see, my GP definitely don't do it, I confirmed that after spending 20 mins in a queue on the phone
