If it was it'd actually be less of a problem - Ebola is not nearly as infectious as COVID19.

Now if it was as deadly as Ebola and as infectious as COVID19, then it'd be a problem.

Actually, if you want something even worse than that, a Rabies COVID hybrid would be fun.

I think my hospital would've been much better off if it had known that. I remember the day when they were getting rid of the suits. I remember thinking "awwww, noooo, don't waste em, let me keep one as a souvenir" (but obviously that never woulda happened).

They were really cool! Bright yellow and fearsome!!!

        COVID-19 - Airborne droplet - R0 1.4–3.9
        Ebola - Body fluids - R0 1.5–2.5

The method of transmission makes Ebola far more difficult to catch, that doesn't mean it's not infectious, but given it's more deadly, of course contaminated protection has to be destroyed, it is however, waaaaaaaay easier to isolate.

Been through a lot of these scares the last 12 years. None stuck apart from swine flu in late 2009, and this. I got the swine flu at the time, was off work a week codeined-up playing GTAIV. I actually have good memories of that week!

God's a bastard for giving it us in the first place.

Wife was saying that one of the Fujifilm companies has developed some sort of drug that the Chinese are positive about though there are some side effects.

Donny was also saying that he's developed a personal test kit which will be available soon.

Just think of all the great viruses we'll discover and bring back once we move to interstellar travel, though with any luck, medical advances will have kept up with the space exploration.

And we definitely need to keep away from strange ships filled with eggs.

It's crazy man, these unseen enemies! And it's not just Corona, there's craploads of these horrible bugs we see at the hosp that don't get as famous as the CV!

I mean, jeez, this last twelve months had quite a few patients in with summat called MERS. I was pretty certain that was gonna end up a pandemic. But I think it's like Diet Coke compared to the full shug Coronavirus.

Bloody invisible enemies. What, is this ENEMY ZERO?

I heard rumours of all armed forces being recalled to UK as of now, thats not good news and means they plan on locking down major cities.

I think I had an hallucinatory episode when I was dealing with Bruce and his cars in GTAIV. He was such a fun character, it was actually a good hallucination that I remember fondly. I bloody loved that week, best sickie EVAH!!!

I'm more worried about stuff like this mate. And people going mad and kicking off on the streets. Deffo my biggest fear.

I reckon we've had it in our house. Over the last three weeks we have had various symptoms and all of us have suffered with really bad chest infections to the point that we literally spent the entire week in bed. I came down with it on the 8th, went to work on the 9th and between 11am that day and Saturday afternoon I only got out of bed to go to the toilet and the doctors. I'm still not 100% now and am currently doing the 14 day isolation thing.

Well, they're closing the schools. I anticipate everyone between the ages of 11-16 to be safely isolated in their homes on Monday, with none of them at McDonalds, in shopping malls or anywhere else public, as is likely the recommendation.

My mum thinks she had it about four weeks back. She had a dry, deep cough that wouldn't go away, felt like crap for about ten days and spent most of the time in bed. She says she's "certain of it". I said just don't take it for granted. Yet. Worry sick about her, she's not well at all but I hope she's right.

I did notice the UK has a five point legislation coming in to deep help deal with this with one of those points being based around disposing of the bodies. I get why of course but it was a bit sobering to read, to be honest. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/e...response-plans

Given we’ve been in flu season, I understand the anecdotal speculation about people having it but I have my doubts in reality. My wife and I have been fighting something off for weeks but I don think we have covid19. Local lollipop lady has been sick with a cough since before Christmas. Does seem like a lot of people around us have illness actually but that doesn’t make it all Coronavirus.
