Ok When i said i felt rough last thursday...that was the calm before the storm, friday I was really bad could not move much at all ached all over...temp of 38.4...was feeling a bit better on saturday had to have paracetomol to reduce the temp...but sunday and last night were even worse and the temp just shoots up if i do not take the paracetamol.

Tbh this is by far the worse bug i have ever had even swine flu was not as bad as this....I do start to think if the jabs really did anything as the wife was hit far harder then me

Everyone I know has it pretty much. My dad just tested positive and he was down at mine on Saturday. I'm all out of tests so can't say for sure if I caught it or not yet :/

I had it around two months ago. I didn't even notice I was ill as there were essentially no symptoms. Still, I self-isolated and used it as an excuse to take a whole week off of work. Totally forgot to post about it in here. Not vaccinated, btw.

I came down with a bit of a fever a couple of weeks back, which then led to a pretty bad cough that's only just clearing up now. That was way worse. I've tested negative throughout.

Nothing as bad as the proper flu. That was twenty years ago the last time I had that and I don't want it again.

I'm not a big fan of Twitter as a source of information as regular viewers will know, but this thread on Long Covid is of interest and cites the sources for the information contained within it.

The TLDR? No, SARS-CoV-2 is not "just like flu".

The author, Dr Deepti Gurdasani, is an clinical epidemiologist who does research at Queen Mary University of London https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepti_Gurdasani

I don’t know anyone who has had it, that hasn’t been left with something long lasting they didn’t have before, particularly in women as well, my partner included, she still doesn’t have her smell back properly over a year later, the other week she knocked the gas hob on by accident and didn’t smell it at all.

We both got an itchy throat/ sore or tickly throat not long after coming back from Disney (about a month after recovering from Covid). That was over a month ago and we still have this annoying clearing throat cough that wont go away and I constantly feel my throat is dry

I keep seeing people saying "it's just like a cold now", but know so many people that are still suffering months or even years later. An online friend got omicron and it took her a month before she got use of her legs back to walk (she's normally a super fit ultra athlete)

I think there's a ****ton of people in this thread that need to update their vote in the poll.

The CBA says the offer of a 15% uplift in fees is insufficient and is calling for a 25% rise to make up for years of funding cuts

Criminal Barristers go on strike saying a 15% pay rise isn't good enough and that they want 25%

They don't deserve a pay rise.

They're ignorant of the facts then.

I see you have met people.

My mum and brother both had covid this week, mum is just at the tail end.
After paying very close attention to Fauci's emails, they are both up to date with their jabs as they are not complete ****wits.

I got my third jab on Sunday and felt like **** on Monday and Tuesday morning. Very strange as the first 2 did bugger all to me. Same with the boy. He got a fever of 38.2 for a day yet bugger all on the first two shots.
All shots were Pfizer as well.

It seems a bit random with booster, me and missus had felt similar for first (super rough) and second (alright) jabs. When we got the booster a day apart, I felt absolutely fine and she was poorly a few days.

Must be how the body reacts to stuff. I very rarely get sick so could it be the body saying "oh no, not more of this crap"? Bloody arm was sore as well for two days. Couldn't use my chest press at all
