I love this little gem. For a cheaper device it packs a lot in to a small size!

Mid-tier budget processor is a dead giveaway though.

This phone has a built in projector with a better throw distance than my 4K projector!!

That's really good, I half expected the phone to be the size of the box.

That there bloke has a decent YouTube site!

But it's not garbage. It preforms well and is unique enough to appeal to some people.

It's interesting to see mobile phone manufacturers returning to this idea of a portable projector, I remember the Galaxy Beam and when Motorola had a modular phone that had a projector add on. I'm glad to see manufacturers returning to this concept now technology has come on a bit since these earlier attempts. Looks cool!

It's interesting from a tech point of view, but wow what a Chonker, you wouldn't want to use it as a daily driver phone. It kind of reminds me of them rugged CAT phones that people on building sites use, i wonder if removing the LED camping light would make it smaller or if it's there to fill in empty space.

Yeah, while the projector feature is good and surprisingly effective, the phone it too big for a daily device. It's more of a device you'd take out on the road while camping or something like that.
The main bulk is taken be the laser projector and the whopping big battery. The camping light really doesn't take up much space.

Coming from you, this is hilarious.

Budget specs, budget price. With added hardware gimmicks on top to try and deflect from the many actual shortcomings it has.

I stand by what I said. Garbage. It has the market it has for a reason.

Somehow, I seriously doubt that premium device OEMs (Apple, OnePlus, Sony, Google, Samsung, etc.) will be bothered by this.

I worked in the phone industry for 7 years I know plenty thanks.

So for starters, that's not a low-tier handset or even a low-tier CPU. Sure it's not going to keep up with an iPhone 15 pro or the latest S24 Ultra, but it doesn't cost anywhere near what they do. It certainly can do more than a low-end budget/sub £200 phone could:

                                Antutu CPU Score:

                                Galaxy S24 Ultra (S-8 Gen 3 OC 12/1024) - 442237
                                Galaxy S24 (E-2400 8/256) - 403971

512GB onboard storage (and expandable) and 16/18GB RAM are not configurations you would find in low-end handsets either.

More performance numbers and details here

Performance wise it is nearly holding up overall to the Pixel 8 Pro and even outperforming the Tab S9 (Though granted it has a smaller screen)

The cameras don't seem to be amazing, but they still appear more than capable enough from the samples I've seen. For the price you would likely get a better camera system in a competitor if that was more important, but photographers are not the type of consumer this device is targeting.

Again, I'm not claiming this is a premium device with high-end specs but it's a far cry away from being just the 'garbage low-tier handset' that you seem to mistakenly think it is.

No, it won't appeal to the masses, and it's not going to have Apple or Samsung quaking in their boots, but it's nice to see some manufacturers trying to do something a little different (Though not entirely new either), especially with how boring the yearly upgrades from Samsung and Apple have really become this past few years.
