Kangol from UTFO has died. Cancer.

I think they probably promoted the first rap beef with Roxanne Roxanne, which was then flipped back by Roxanne Shante who, it turned out, wasn’t the Roxanne they were rapping about in the first place. Anyway, they weren’t all that but they were a part of my childhood

Janice Long, older sister of the late Keith Chegwin and best known as a presenter on BBC Radio 1 (the station's first ever female weekday show host) and the first ever regular female presenter of Top of the Pops during the 1980s, has died aged 66 after a short illness.

She was the first woman to have her own daily show on Radio 1 in a career that spanned five decades.

Brad: oh man, UTFO. They shined so bright for a while, then once the likes of Biz Markie, Mantronix and Just-Ice hit, instantly outdated. The Roxanne, Roxanne records and replies, went on forever... Roxanne's A Man being a (terribly trans and homo phobic) yet less formulaic spin on the theme.

Madden was a giant, won the Superb Owl coaching the Raiders and ended that career with the best win/loss record of all time.

Easily the best broadcasting analyst the game has ever seen, watched the 49ers win Superb Owl's with him doing the colour commentary.

Also developed what he envisaged as the training tool for kids which became Madden the game.

Betty White of The Golden Girls (and a storied career that spanned eight decades on both small and big screen) falls one day short of 2022 and two weeks short of her century.

The actor’s career spanned more than 80 years – but it was her role as Rose Nylund in the 1980s sitcom that cemented her status
