There's no mutual exclusivity stopping both being invested in - there is merit in investing in both things.Last edited by MartyG; 08-04-2021, 13:40.

I might be wrong but, financially successful though he is, isn't Musk just effectively standing on the shoulders of smarter people. As in, there's nothing remotely smart or useful about him himself and therefore he's mostly not worth the attention he's given. He's just been fortunate to make money sinking cash into one or two ventures faster than competitors.
It'd explain why so much of what he says is so stupid and why his business 'empire' feels Trumpian and prone to collapse one day

Proposal, aimed at breaking up a conservative majority on the court, is predicted to draw opposition from Republicans
Biden was keen on Democrats and Republicans working together more often on issues but the Republicans have been sticking hard to their Trump era playbook and so the shadow of action looks to finally be coming their way. Democrats look set to introduce a bill to add four new seats to the US Supreme Court, a move that will certainly fail but shows how quickly things are shifting due to frustrations

8 people have been shot dead at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis.
There have been at least 45 mass shootings* this month alone.
*4 or more people shot (wounded or killed) excluding the gunman.
Post-Sandy Hook, I've lost any compassion.
If the shooting of kids isn't enough to make a change, then nothing will.
Dipping into Twitter, it's the usual comments.

‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens
The Onion - 2014
ISLA VISTA, CA—In the days following a violent rampage in southern California in which a lone attacker killed seven individuals, including himself, and seriously injured over a dozen others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Tuesday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place. “This was a terrible tragedy, but sometimes these things just happen and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them,” said North Carolina resident Samuel Wipper, echoing sentiments expressed by tens of millions of individuals who reside in a nation where over half of the world’s deadliest mass shootings have occurred in the past 50 years and whose citizens are 20 times more likely to die of gun violence than those of other developed nations. “It’s a shame, but what can we do? There really wasn’t anything that was going to keep this guy from snapping and killing a lot of people if that’s what he really wanted.” At press time, residents of the only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past five years were referring to themselves and their situation as “helpless.”
