For the first time in a long, long time the UK has recorded zero deaths for COVID today
That's amazing but I don't think I've ever really believed weekend or Monday figures, always feel the weekend reporting is incomplete or slower than normal

Would be amazing if we did have a few days like this

Owing to processing issues for deaths in England, the numbers of deaths throughout the UK will be updated later. In the meantime, the number of newly reported deaths for 7 March 2021 may incorrectly show as zero.

Yup, just checked now and it's changed to 82. Still much lowered though I guess

So are schools closing again tomorrow?

I hope not, I'm beyond happy that we're finally at a point where we can get Covid... erm, children back into school

Just had my letter for a vaccine, no centres in the town I live, nearest is over seven miles away.

              I'll wait.

Why? You can test your eyesight on the way there!

So apparently, because the schools are open now, lockdown is over.
Everyone milling around with no masks in sight. All the shops open; everyone in and out. Mostly the elderly too. I guess they've had the jab, so that's it then.

                    Same.
Picked Chloe up from mum n dad & she was over the moon with how today was & loved being back with her friends again

I'm hoping that this all carries on now, she absolutely thrives being in school

I'm terrified of my daughter bringing it home. I've just got to the point where I can run again properly (after my op) for the first time in two years and so many people I know that have had covid find they can't run properly for months afterwards due to the effect on the lungs and the heart rate.

I can’t believe they’ve opened the schools again, without vaccinating all the kids first.

Oh well heres to the next lockdown people.

I reopened the doors to customers for the first time in two months on Friday with tight restrictions. This morning I get a call from track & trace to tell me a customer that came in on our first day back open had since tested positive for Covid. Since it was me who dealt with them I’m now in self isolation and the business is locked down until the 19th.

Aye, daughter came home from school, no-one wearing masks in class including the teachers. I said I would drop them an email but she wants me to hang on to see if it changes tomorrow.
