Sorry to hear of your loss, Charles. But well done on being strong to deliver the eulogy - that's a fine thing to have done on behalf of your family and you know your Mum would have been proud.

Condolences, alzhiemers is a rough ride. As much as it's hard for those watching someone go through it, when my Grandad went through it all it felt like some small perk that he became blissfully unaware as time went on of what was happening to him so was kind of in reasonable spirits a lot of the time in the latter stages even if we could barely make out a word of what he was laughing at and he had no clue who we were but it's such a luck of the draw thing too, affecting people very differently

Not in a 'glad they're gone way at all', just in a nostalgia way. Can't say why they popped in my head but it turns out it's now been a solid decade since Rushy, Rmoxon and Flabio all bowed out of the forum. Flabio sadly leaving on a massive down note amidst all the Fable: Journey fallout, Rmoxon after a week ban and Rushy... who know? He just vanished wholesale to Era with a standard post. 12 years since JP left as well but 10 since last online.
Something was in the water in 2013...

Apologies and condolences to you and your family Charles.
It would have been my Dad's birthday today - he would have been 90. I'm on holiday in Corsica and he spent his Navy National Service in the Mediterranean, so would have loved it here. Still miss the old bugger, even though it's been 8 years.

Bloody hell. Came back into this thread for the first time since and now I'm welling up again. Thanks for the kind words peeps.
I've been looking at funny running race photos. When you do a race, you often get an official photographer from whom you can buy photos online later. People have been posting some great ones on Facebook. For example, while falling over, or rolling their ankles. Hilarious tbh.

Had a lovely wash, cut and blowdry at the hairdressers, the first time I have had my hair cut in almost exactly 3 years and it looks ace.
Very pleased. Picked up a cheap dress and some new sunglasses to add onto the good vibes. I usually dread the hairdressers as, despite loving having my hair washed there, I am scared of them making my hair look worse as I've had some turkeys in the past (not that salon I might add)
