The best Tube art, from giant eggs to kinetic sculpture, as the project celebrates 25 years.

"Art on the Underground celebrates its 25th year"

I've seen lots of the labyrinth plaques over the years.

I passed a Microsoft exam yesterday.

It wasn't just the stress of the exam, but the fact that work was saying I should've passed it ages ago, plus the effort it takes to use precious downtime at evenings and weekends to study and as you get older, it's a lot harder to take new information in.

So I'm really pleased that I've managed to get my head around a completely new subject and pass an exam about it.

Superb stuff Chimpy, we have fully funded uni degrees at work but none of it interested me as I'm not a studier, a lot of my workmates have and whilst they say it's been worth it for them it was also one hell of a job to do it.

As you say age and motivation to accomplish something like this as you get older is very special. Well done.

On a serious note, what does a MS exam actually entail?

                Cheers chaps.

My exam was the PL-900 Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals, which is like an overview of their collection of their suite of software that's designed to make it easier for non-coders to develop with like Power Apps, Automate, BI and Pages.

Basically, I've had to go from knowing practically nothing about them to having to be knowledgeable enough to pass an exam.

You have to follow their study guide to cover all the topics, but I mentioned in the irks thread that some of it is clearly written by AI and is a word soup for sake of it.
I actually had to rerun some of the paragraphs through another AI saying "explain this in clearer terms"!

I found it easier to comprehend when I started using them a bit, because before that it was all one-to-many tables, Managed vs Canvas apps and loads of pedantic differences or weird terminology like "gallery" isn't a collection of pictures, it's a whole selection of data or "column" has other meanings.

It's not like a doctorate or something, but it's a good grounding in the subject and definitely something for the CV!

The exam is in a registered centre where you have to hand over all your phones and so on.
It was sweltering in the test room, so I took my jumper off and the invigilator ran in and took my watch and jumper off me in case I had some hidden notes!

I'm looking at doing SC-900 next - Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals, so I'll be punishing myself again!

Just noticed I've been a member on here, officially, for 22 years.

Unofficially, I swear I've been here longer when we were NTSC-UK, but think a database copy nuked a lot of our start dates and post history. Either way, what a cosy little online home this still is.

Love you all! Yes, even you. X

I think the joined date counts from the NTSC-UK days, I remember the switch and it's just 19 years for me.

Same. But like Wools, I feel like the history goes back even earlier.
