That story about that woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann is gathering pace. Apparently she's submitted material for a DNA test.
That leads to me think this is either the dumbest, cruellest wind-up ever (like why would any sane person do that), or I'm starting to wonder if, at least, the person involved genuinely believes it.
For those who missed it, this started a few weeks ago. She's from Poland, is the correct age, has the same rare thing with her eye, and doesn't know who her real parents are/knows the stories of her childhood are fabricated. Plus she bears a passing resemblence to her. It's kinda bizarre, honestly, but then stranger things have ended up being true.Comment

Yep, there was something a week or two ago about someone doing a facial profile assessment and it gave a near 0% chance it was the same person. This DNA test has been going on for weeks and weeks also. I can kind of see the similar eye part but personally (though obviously older) she looks sod all like her and is more likely risking derailing proceedings against the suspected abductor regardless of her reasons.
If she was genuine she'd simply have liaised with the McCann's, done the test and found out the truth. Instead:

Everybody seems to have an opinion on the McCann's, but I can't imagine the constant mental anguish they must be constantly going through with the guilt over what happened, the blips of hope, the gold diggers, people ready to condemn them and the pain of not really knowing what happened to their daughter.Comment
