OK, so all the people saying Gaetz was a (presumably clever) strategic move to get marginally less controversial nominations through (by distraction) can STFU now. Under pretty much any normal watch I imagine it would be a scandal, it's definitely an offramp of Trump's own making. He's poisoned the scandals well so much and set up his own raft of pardoning choices so heavily that he's made it easy for Biden to shrug off the decision to self-serve. It's gutting that the ramifications of the last election in particular will be something that drags America down for likely the rest of our lifetimes.Comment
