I heard on the news today that the jury are making their decision.
They have to be unanimous. If just ONE member of the jury doesn't agree, it's a hung jury and he gets off, presumably to go off and say whatever he wants including how corrupt the judge is again.

It'll also give fuel to his followers "He's a brilliant businessman and totally innocent of any crimes those Libtards throw at him."

The defence is pinning their case on that Cohen is a liar and cheat, which he is, but he was Trumps employed liar and cheat his job was to be Trumps fixer and to make problems go away. He went to prison for lying for Trump when he was caught lying under oath to save his own and his bosses skin. Yeah, if it was just his word alone you could maybe say the case was shaky, and he was out for revenge..... But they have voice recordings of Trump talking about paying cash to Daniels, signed receipts by Trump to Cohen for very large sums of money literally backing up what he's saying. You can literally see the chain of payments as well as compensation for the extra tax Cohen incurred for having to declare the hush money payments as lawyer fees. On top of this, there is corroborating testimony backing up what Cohen is saying that aren't convicted liars and cheats that have nothing to gain from purging themselves under oath.

I'd be surprised if he isn't convicted, giving how full of holes the defence is or that part of the evidence is a verified phone recording of trump talking about paying people off, you couldn't get a better smoking gun in a case like this. The outcome, is going to be the same win or loose Trumps going to go on a rant about its "a Bidden led kangaroo court" and his supporters will follow him no matter what.

The judgment on 11 July being soft natured has always been known so matters less, the key factor here is that the verdict holds no sense of vagueness of guilt about it. It will feed the narrative of the rest of his presidential campaign making it a hundred times harder for him to win over undecided voters who will tip the scale of the election result. At every turn, every debate, every interview etc him being a convicted criminal is the news headline making reference. The media fascination over him being a nominee and a criminal will stop it from falling out of the public conciousness and ultimately give us an even better chance that his 2024 bid and any further attempt fails. Even beyond that, the example has been made - the standard is set - his tactic of delay might have largely worked but the hounds will be baying for his blood if he doesn't win in November, a former president has been convicted and so the multitude of other cases waiting for him can't rely on using precedent to put themselves off.

It worked very well in the documents case were judge Cannon sided with him (quelle surprise) and delayed the trial to 2025, or basically never if Trump gets back in the office.
