    Christmas 2022!

Seeing as it's Christmas Eve right now in the UK, I was wondering how Bordersdown folk are doing?

Me and Mrs Wools got our final shop sorted yesturday, so she's currently snoozing on the sofa and I'm chilling next to her on my PC, with a tub of KP salted peanuts on one side, with a Hogs Back Brewery Ale (TEA if you're interested) on the other. I couldn't be happier!

Tommrow we're nipping over my Mum, Dad and Brother's and they're kindly cooking dinner for us all, and we'll be exchanging gifts then. Gaming wise, I've asked for Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 and an Anbernic RG351MP to muck about with some handheld emulation. I think I've been a very good boy this year, so fingers crossed, Santa will come down my chimney this year.

What plans has everyone got this year and any gaming goodness in the pipeline?

Not feeling the least bit Christmassy.

Been ill for what seems like forever.

The middle child won't listen and is arguing about everything >

The house is a complete bombsite despite me trying for ages to tidy up.

    I'm done.

Back to my parents for a few days, visting friends. Calm Christmas with not much videogaming going on, got the laptop but no pad, and I don't feel like playing strategy games.

Bloody hell, sorry to hear that mate.

If it's any consolation, my Sister in law is going through a nightmare with one of hers / my niece. Is yours in the teen years at the mo?

I hope you get some time to chill and put your feet up with a cold one and a good game at some point.

Sounds lovely! Reminds me, after years of friends and my Brother pestering me, I picked up CIV on my Switch, need to fire that up and give it some time. Not delved deep with a stratgey or RTS game since Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition!

          All good here
We are all coming down off of colds but all done
I got some free time today so got in a viewing of Transformers: The Movie between popping out to get some last minute food & my hair cut

Tidied the house ready for impending carnage tomorrow

Have parents & brother round after lunch for pressies & stuff

Round the parents on Boxing Day for lunch before we have Katie's family round in the afternoon for their turn

Present wise I've just asked for movies & graphic novels I haven't gotten around to picking up
Couple of Switch games & dropped some hints for figures to the missus which I'm assuming she took notice of because I've been told that my main gift is still on route & not here for the big day lol

Usual stuff really but I don't feel in the least bit Christmassy really

No Christmas in our house this year, we got caught out by a builder for money on an extension we are having built, which has hit us hard financially (its going to court now). So we decided no presents this year as we just can’t justify it.

Should be a nice dinner round the in-laws tomorrow though it always is, so thats some at least.

            Fun.

This is me or at least a variation. We were supposed to be going down to Devon to stay with the in-laws but they've both gone down ill in the last 24h so we went down last night and straight back tonight... my kids have been an absolute nightmare the last few hours and my mrs isn't dealing with all the plan changes well either as it's our last xmas here before heading back to Australia.

Me... I'm just glad I'm back at home for tonight with an my alcohol stash on hand.

              Stay frosty.

Started the day with going to a restaurant with my mom and cousin, after that I went to visit my dad. It's been a very chill day. Me and my dad looked at his/our stamp collection that he has been going through and buying some more lately. It's been a good decade since I've added anything to that collection.

Now I'm just going to be at home and fatassing with candy and playing video games.

Going with my missus for turkey (and Yorkshire puddings) at my folks house. It's not traditional? It must be, we've always done it.

Got to meet up with my best friend for a couple of hours who I have not seen for over 3 years. She had a 1 year old I had not met back then and now had an additional 9 month year old. It was like the old days chatting and reminiscing and meeting the new baby.

Did a last minute shop for my mother and had a nice long shower before my sister and sister-in-law arrived. Had some mulled wine before heading out for a nice Italian meal. This time last year we went to the same place but a fire in a nearby pub cut the power off the restaurant before we got there so we got a thai last minute. This time was a success but idiots entering the place kept leaving the door open so I became the unofficial doorwoman as everyone moaned about the cold but didn't get up so I just did it 2-3 times. Waiter was a bit of a knob but the meal was lovely appart from the portion size of my carbonara which was smaller than my fist whilst my SIL had a parmo bigger than her head which she shared some out.

Had some hot chocolate, watched that animation of the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse (beautifully animated) before heading to bed as tired. Goodnight!

Trying to sleep with my new bite guard in. I can easily remove it with my tongue which is a bad sign and I think I've chipped a wisdom tooth which is only partially covered by the gard as I subconsciously find it and want to grind on it.

Must admit, I’ve gone from chilled from a week off work and excited for Christmas to a bit deflated. We just watched Christmas Bake Off & Gone Fishing & loved them, but Mrs Wools and myself both don’t feel it’s Christmas yet.

Hopefully a decent sleep and getting some presents open in the morning will do it!

Finished work on Friday and won't be back until January 4th.
Tomorrow, 26th, and the boy and I are off to Osaka. We'll do some sight seeing around Osaka and Kyoto then go to Universal Studios Japan on the 27th.

I'm at GF's place. Didn't get to see her last Christmas or the one before due to covid. So very happy
