I sometimes think this should how all decisions should be made. We vote for our MPs (in theory) so that they serve the needs of the constintuents. Here's a Daily Mail headline bemoaning the European Court of Human Rights:
However, this week, the publisher of the Daily Mail has won a ruling at the European Court of Human Rights opposing “excessive” costs incurred by claimants in defamation and privacy cases.
The publisher argued that its right to freedom of expression, under Article 10 of the European Convention, had been breached.

It's interesting that the last three posts include:
- Brexit has damaged the UK economy
- More than 1 in 3 children are living in poverty
- Some farmers are facing inheritance tax
They're all intertwined.
I wish we hadn't left the EU.
I wish farmers hadn't voted for it.
I wish children weren't in poverty.
I wish the press would spend more time focussing on the children in poverty, rather obsessing over people with farms worth over a million pounds.
