Labour and the Tories chase the same WWC core voters, who aren’t exactly keen on foreigners. Basically, don’t expect a Starmer government to be kind and understanding.
Blunkett wasn't great but he was still nowhere near as awful as any of the other Tory Home Secs that I've mentioned and that is a fact - the Hostile Environment ideology literally started with Theresa May, Amber Rudd has dirty hands where the Windrush Scandal is concerned to the point of her leaving politics totally and Sajid Javid and Priti Patel were pretty much Braverman prototypes.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 13-11-2023, 15:09.

If you ever wanted proof that the Tories are the party of out-of-touch parents, there it is.

Starmer under pressure to back Labour amendment on Gaza ceasefire | Labour | The Guardian
Out of the news for a minute, Labour pulls itself back in once again over the in-fighting about calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. At this point Starmer should just give in just to silence the noise for all the difference it will make.

Proving yet again that Braverman and the hard right of party were always worth ignoring because they have zero clue with they won the 2019 GE
Former home secretary tells PM he broke promises he made to gain her support during party leadership contest
That part of the Party says that by axing Cruella the party has walked away from those who voted in huge numbers to give the landslide victory in '19
Our survey says....

Former home secretary tells PM he broke promises he made to gain her support during party leadership contest
A public poll has shown that 70% of the public believe firing Braverman was the right decision compared to just 17% who supported her
However, a majority also think bringing Cameron back is a mistake

Exhuming the Corpse of a long dead disgraced PM who resigned when he realised just how much he had screwed over the Uk with Brexit who was Implemented in the pannama papers for hiding assets offshore. I wonder if we will see a return to pig fking and Austerity?
It shows one thing though and that's how little Talent/Loyalty/Credibility Sunak has left in the Conservative party.

I always wonder if Braverman realises however far right in her views she goes, the kind of people who storm Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday will never accept her as she is the the daughter of immigrants and not white? She must have some serious internalised self-loathing going on... or maybe she is just the sort to do absolutely anything for power?
