An outline of a fourth form of EU membership has been submitted which, if it came into effect, would allow countries such as the UK to join the EU in a limited capacity allowign for greater political cooperation without being bound by EU law. The move comes as the EU looks to heavily expand itself in response to external threats such as Russia.

The announcement is being rushed through at 4:30pm in a leader statement being delivered by Sunak to the media via phone because of the huge ****storm that has kicked off. The reaction is very typical of how over the top the discussion often quickly gets which gets in the way of any serious, genuine debate - something that led us to this point in the first place.
It can't be THE BIGGEST DISASTER ever to delay one or two practical elements of net zero planning by 5 years and yet NO CONCERN AT ALL regarding the practicalities and realities of hitting the original deadline in pretty much the same span of time from a point so removed from the reality of the situation we start from,Comment
