Labour never stood against it, so can't speak up now, also can be seen doing a u-turn, which is political kryptonite.
The vast majority of Labour were vehemently against Brexit but Corbyn refused to campaign properly for Remain, even despite his party begging him to.
Corbyn helped enable Brexit.

What I'm trying to say is that Labour never officially objected to it, unless I'm mistaken?
Plenty of Conservative MPs also objected to Brexit, including Cameron at the time of the vote, so saying that some MPs objected to it isn't the same as "the party".
In the 2019 General Election, the Conservatives stood with the slogan "Get Brexit Done".
I know the Lib Dems did the whole "Bollocks to Brexit" and promised to revoke Brexit.
The SNP's Nicola Sturgeon said Brexit was happening "against Scotland's will" and that no deal could make up for what "Brexit takes away from us".
However, rather than backing either Leave or Remain during the election campaign, Labour said the party will remain neutral until a later date.
Come 2020, Keir Starmer confirmed his party's position on the new post-Brexit trade deal in a short press conference on Christmas Eve, saying: "When this deal comes before Parliament, Labour will accept it and vote for it."
I'm not sure if we're making the same point, but Corbyn and the Labour Party at the 2019 GE did not condemn Brexit, knowing that remaining non-committal was the safest bet.
Totally agree that Corbyn helped enable Brexit, but he wasn't off speaking on his own - as leader, he was speaking for the Labour party.
This is the point I was trying to make, that the Labour Party have never been officially in opposition of Brexit, unless I'm mistaken?
So now, when we really need to get back to trading with the EU, they've backed themselves into a corner by never being officially opposed to Brexit and they'd get pounced on for doing so now by all the opposition parties and tabloids.
If there's any doubt in my sentiment, I genuinely want Labour to do well, heal the damage to the UK from the actions of the previous government and progress UK politics on from cronyism and corruption. However, I will forever hold them to account for failing to speak up against the damage that Brexit has done and will continue to do.

Billionaire ally of Donald Trump also accuses Keir Starmer on X of failing to prosecute child rapists in Oldham
Musk has said Tommy Robinson should be released and Jess Phillips should be jailed.
I'd pay good money to see Musk try to tell her that to her face. She'd tear him a new one.
"Elon Musk has caused anger by calling for the release of Tommy Robinson and accusing Keir Starmer of failing to prosecute child rapists in Oldham in Greater Manchester.
The billionaire ally of Donald Trump pinned a message at the top of his X feed overnight saying “Free Tommy Robinson!”, tagging the far-right activist who is in jail for contempt of court.
As well as a number of messages in support of Robinson, Musk posted several times about rape gangs in Rochdale and Oldham, attacking the prime minister and the safeguarding minister, Jess Phillips, over their responses to the scandal.
In one post Musk said: “In the UK, serious crimes such as rape require the Crown Prosecution Service’s approval for the police to charge suspects. Who was the head of the CPS when rape gangs were allowed to exploit young girls without facing justice? Keir Starmer, 2008-2013.”
He added that Phillips “deserved to be in prison” after she said it was for Oldham council to call an inquiry into child exploitation there, rather than the national government.
In another he said: “The real reason she’s refusing to investigate the rape gangs is that it would obviously lead to the blaming of Keir Stamer (head of the [Crown Prosecution Service] at the time).”
Musk reposted several comments calling for the release of Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who was jailed last October for repeating false allegations about a Syrian refugee."

Wes Streeting defends pace of plans for adult social care reform – UK politics live
Fuss for fuss sake - I get the urgency felt but it's 100% necessary that it's done right rather than rushed. Something best dragged down if they waste the time rather than take it.

It's phenomenally marginalised at this point and incredibly stupidly so, we're massively past the point of companies making any legitimate claim over roles requiring being in the office and it's now a lazy excuse to just stare at employees heads.

Home secretary tells MPs that three recommendations by independent inquiry into child sexual abuse are being acted on by the government
Way too much oxygen in the room being wasted on anything Musk has to say
It is unclear what prompted Musk to write on X that Farage ‘doesn’t have what it takes’ to be Reform UK’s leader
Though yet another related story shows yet again how quickly the Trump-Musk partnership will implode

Whereas I'm enjoying the drama of Musk promises supporting reform with a billion dollars or something on one day, then the next, he's saying Farage isn't suitable to lead, I'm a bit fed up with how much news space this is consuming.
I mainly hope that some Reform subscribers realise that Reform is not a political party with an elected leader, it's Farage's company, with him getting all the profits.
There's talk of tightening UK laws that stops foreign companies from donating to UK parties.
In unrelated news, X just set up AIX.

Generally, I would like it if Social Media did not feature as prominently on the news. If I wanted to know what was going on there I could join the relevant web site. I choose not to.

Upward of £45,000-£50,000 per person per year - still a bargain considering the care costs. Nice to finally see some good news.
