Abbott claimed that Jewish people are never victims of racism. Basically ignoring that Jewish people were targeted victims of the worst organised genocide in human history. Borderline Holocaust denial.

Please show me where she borderline denied the holocaust in it. She also quite clearly didn't say that Jewish people are "never" victims of racism.

(Nice parentheses around the word antisemitism, BTW. Not a good look. Have a long hard think about how many have died because of that real, persistent form of racism.)

She's her own worst enemy in terms of trying to get a fair shake from her own party who have thrown more than their fair share of racism at her over the last four decades? They've deliberately kicked the investigation into her "antisemitism" comments (that she quickly retracted and apologised unreservedly for) into touch whilst restoring the Labour whip to other (Starmer-loyal) party members who have done things as bad if not worse.

It's widely rumoured (as highlighted in the Guardian article) that the current Labour Leadership will only restore the whip to her if she agrees to stand down as an MP - absolute ceremonial Kangaroo Court behaviour.

It's obvious that they're trying to squeeze her out because she's not a Starmer loyalist and it's completely wrong that the investigation has been allowed to drag out this long. Her being in the right in that regard though doesn't mean she doesn't get in her own way when it comes to her own career. She makes use of her of media coverage to regularly call him out and whilst it's fine to agree with her, like other Corbynites, she'll find herself booted out because the weight of power isn't remotely in her corner. She doesn't play the game right and instead of still being a prominent voice and possible influence in the coming years will face an unfair and unceremonious end to a long career with the party. I'm not at all saying it's right, or fair, but it's very clear the trap she's walked into with Starmer's party and being combatitive with him isn't going to end well for her regardless of the current headlines. I suspect that those still in the party to come from the further left of the party, but have kept their heads down more, will have more success achieving their aims further down the line when Labour has been in power for some time and Starmer is less jittery about the party's public support imploding at a seconds notice.
