Final election results are in and the Lib Dems have finished with more councillor seats than the Tories have
Former home secretary says PM’s ‘plan is not working’ and he needs to change course after local elections drubbing
The media's fascination with this racist needs to come to and end too. She's insanely tone deaf and misses the reasons why the party is dead at the GE by a wider berth than a black market trafficker boat trying to avoid the RNLI

I know it's point-scoring when a Tory defects to Labour, but at some point Starmer's going to have to ask if this is the kind of person they want in the party.
Elphicke has a poor voting record of voting against human rights.
Especially annoying when Labour were swift to criticise the Lib Dems when a few moderate Tories who disagreed with Brexit moved to join them.

After the 2019 election there was an 80 seat majority, it's nearly down to half that now (with this I think it stands at 45).Last edited by MartyG; 08-05-2024, 16:50.

Rishi Sunak says Belfast judgment will not affect his plans and the Good Friday agreement should not be used to obstruct Westminster policy
Sunak makes his first big speech since getting battered like a Blackpool Cod in the local elections. Key points are:
-The last 14 years of decline across all services isn't out fault
-He declined to rule out a report that the UK is pushing Ukraine to agree a truce with Russia
-He calls Starmer unprincipled, famous as Sunak is for sticking to his beliefs
-He says he will always ignore the European Court of Human Rights when it comes to Rwanda
-He says many, many times that Labour has no plan for immigration several days after they announced their plan
