cosmetics for guys are **** over here, apart from shinseido hair gels and moulding waxes. Its generally cheap rubbish and a pathetic selection. In Osaka anyway... Ive resorted to using ladies shampoos and body washes. Ive never smelt sweeter

You should pack as much deodorant as you can because roll-on or spray type is not really sold here. Wet wipes are used instead, but they are not as good, IMO.

I went a whole holiday in America (this stuff is always happening when I go to America!) where I accidentally used women's shower gel. I actually realised after three days, but I carried on using it cos I couldn't be arsed to buy a new bottle, and heck, it didn't smell too bad

Yeah I noticed on the British Airways site that my luggage allowance for my trip to Japan in Sept is lower than for my yearly jaunt to America. Perhaps cos the Japanese flight takes 12 hours, there's more people on the plane, so they have to be more careful with fuel consumption?

          Hey human,

          You're going in september?....cool

I'm trying to go to...just have to convince my gf to let me go or either come with me...

Yup, just in time for TGS! I usually go back and forth on these things for ages, but this time I just thought **** it, I'm going! Thanks to the spending power of the good old 0% credit card

I was trying to convince my brother or sister to go with me as hotels are cheaper if you have two people going, but none of the bastards wanted to face the 12 hour flight! Wimps

That's why i want to go...TGS all the way..

Hey i probably book in a month or two...(G-D willing of course)...

The 12 hour flight is what my gf is worried about...

How long are you going for? That'd be cool if we could meet up...as i'm gonna need a helping hand carrying all the games/consoles i buy back to the hotel... ....and then to the post office to mail them back to me....

I'm going in September too on the last leg of my Asian tour. Mine's a 40 hour flight back to London, via Sri-Lanka

That's seriously long haul mate! I'm doing about 40 hours flying for the whole year! Luckily for me, when I booked my trip on Expedia, the cheapest flight was also the best one. Direct flight there and back on British Airways.

smallvillex: only from the 19th - 25th, which is really half of the 20th until the 24th, if you don't count time in the airport and on planes So I've basically got two and a half days to look around Tokyo and two days at the TGS. Would have liked to go for longer but didn't have enough holiday from work left.

Humanenergy: Out of curiosity, how much was you flight at expedia? I booked mine at STA because it was with a load of others, but didn't really look elsewhere so was curious if it could've been cheaper.

Tell me about it...i want to go for two weeks *fingers crossed*

                      The TGS should be wicked

I want to have time for seeing the sights, and shopping shopping shopping

It was ?430, flying from Heathrow to Narita.

Wow, that seems pretty cheap. I was quoted a standalone flight of ?6-700, and this included stopoffs at every other country.

Airline prices are just weird! Before I booked with Expeida I was checking Ebookers, and there was one flight on there where the price of one flight went down, then back up, and down again, each time I checked!

Edit: By the way, when's the first part of your flight? If you're going on a long trip and the first part of the flight is earlier in the year, that probably affected the price. The nearer your flight is to summer the higher the prices get!

...that is cheap...hell i'll book it next month then..

Is that economy or premium economy? I can't travel economy because it's too cramped and my the length of my thighs is so long i can't sit straight in a seat. What makes it worse that on a longer flight people recline in their seats...and if the person in front of me does that.....only G-D can help them...

Btw fellas, which airport is the best one to fly too, and which part should i stay in?

That's the cheapest and most cramped economy I'm afraid! Luckily I'm a short arse so I don't need a huge amount of room to stretch out my legs

As far as I know you have to fly to Narita, as the other airport (Haneda?) doesn't handle international flights. As for the best part to stay in, I have no idea as I've never been before
