did you stumble upon that cure maid cafe in that time? Its above the capsule toy store near a koban...i think haha. Never been in there myself, but it looks....interesting.

I think I might know what you're talking about dave, there was a Don Quixote department store we went into in Akihabara; the third or fourth floor had a lot of girls in french maid outfits playing cards with guys sat along a counter. Very unusual.

Hi everyone. Been here 10 days now and loving it but feeling a bit templed-out.?@Had?@a week IN Tokyo and was planning to make this?@???@week in Kyoto but its?@???@bit of?@???@let down after Tokyo. Does anyone know anywhere we could go to do something wild and exciting? Snowboarding or water skiing or something like that? We have rail passes so anywhere in japan is fine.

just get on a train up to hokkaido. There should still be snow even this late in the season.
Alternatively go down south to the tropical Okinawa and do some surfing. Its beautiful.

that may well be the same place mate. I know there are quite a few maid cafe's in Akihabara (theres loads even in Osaka), but all the otaku wonderboys say the cure maid cafe is ????????number one ^_^).

Would love to hear if anyones been brave or stupid enough to go into one though. Bet they're fun

Just that, although i got the impression that if enough cash was flashed around the nice ladies would meet you at another location, somewhere, sometime.

Actually, i get that impression virtually everywhere i go in Japan.........

gonna be in Osaka for another 2 months from this July too. I feel homesick being back in the UK. :'(
