I think that weird, stocky build half these Argentine guys seem to have is really suited to our league. Sounds like a good little player and at 24 still plenty of scope to improve/learn a slightly different way of playing - I think Keane was too set in his ways to change by the time we got hold of him.

The Napoli fans see Lavezzi as the new Maradona which is obviously pushing it a bit. Lavezzi is an excellent player in his own right though. He would have no problems with the physical side of the Premiership - like most Argentines he is streetwise in that he is a tough and resilient bastard lol.

And with his techincal ability I think he could flourish in the fast, frenetic and more open nature of the Premiership.

Well, not a bad season for us at all Torres put away his 50th goal in just 84 appearances! He's beaten Rush, Aldgridge, Fowler and Owen getting there!

Sadly, it doesn't sound like Lucas will be going anywhere. Makes sense to sell Babel. I'll be sad to see Alonso go. Rumour has it he wants to go back to Spain.

Hey we got a prem record today. First team to only lose 2 games in the prem and not win it. It's a massive improvement for us. I remember Ballack at the start of the season saying how the PL race only includes Chelsea and Man U. In your face, Bollock!

I've always liked Alonso. He holds the midfield together. Great passer. With Gerrard now playing as a striker behind Torres (you must be soooo jealous of that position!) Alonso has had a great season. He may not get the headlines, but I think he's your best passer. He'll go, you'll get Barry, I don't think that's a smart move.
