Well Madrid look like they will be offer cash + player (De la Red, Granero or Baptista) in order to reach the €40m value Valencia have put on his head.
Valencia had Ronald Koeman in charge for too long, hence their current poor position. Just two points above the drop with three to play so they are not yet certain of survival. Midweek against fellow strugglers Real Zaragoza could define whether they do stay up, but they still have to play already relegated Levante next weekend, so you'd assume they'd pick up three points there.

That second half was a great watch! Madrid were down to ten men for that second half too, after Cannavaro got sent off about ten seconds after the kick off I haven't enjoyed La Liga as much this season as last season (much closer league and there seemed to be a lot more exciting matches last year) but that was a good match last night. Hopefully Madrid vs Barca next week should be a cracker.

Barca will want to win to salvage some pride from what has been a poor season by their standards. Madrid will also want to win just to rub Barca's faces in it in front of their home fans.
There has been talk of a mass clear out at Barcelona at the end of the season - there'll be quite a few players leaving, including the so called big names.

Wow, apart from Messi, Barcelona looked like they couldn't be arsed tonight. Like you I thought they'd want to have a real go to try and spoil Madrid's title celebrations but nearly all of the Barca players looked like they wanted to be anywhere but in the Bernabeu.
Some really good stuff from Madrid tonight though. They've added flair to the solid base Capello built last season. It'll be interesting to see how they do in the Champions League next year.

This, for me, is still one of the best thread titles ever!!
Next year will be very interesting. Schuster has Real playing very well. Pep should do well at Barca but needs to strip away some dead wood first. I fancy Atletico to do well again next year. The signing of Johnny Heitenga won't do them any harm. 5 million as well! That is a f***ing steal for a player of his calibre when you consider the stupid money that has changed hands in this country for the likes of Upson, bramble etc
