Well they still got to sort out that defence. Maicon will help if they sign him, but I'm unsure about Ramos or Pepe in the middle. Marcelo is not a left back. From what I've seen of Khedira, he's not your natural holding midfielder like Cambiasso or Mascherano. When I saw him for Germany, out of him and Schweinsteiger, he was the one who was joining the attacks more. Him and Alonso just seem too similar. And Mourinho has to add his work ethic to the likes of Kaka, Ronaldo and Higuain. Will Ronaldo or Kaka want to track back like Eto and Sneijder were doing last season? I'm not sure.

Still think Barcelona with the signing of Villa, are ahead of them.

I'd have to say your assessment of Khedira is mine of Cambiasso, he doesn't naturally hold like Mascherano does.

Cambiasso like to come from deep to create the attack, most of the best work I've seen from him has been creating and being part of the play from the middle all the way up to box. Hes been doing it for ages, hes never been one to sit back and do the water carrying job like Mascherano does.

I would imagine thats what the owners want but I'd still be very surprised if they pull it off this year.
Will take another year or so imo to give all the new players time to gel.
