HaI jest but the Daily Mail actually did have a story about AVB and some Spurs players lazing around on a yacht (with shirtless photos, ohh matron!) complete with loads of comments from people who think it's a crime for footballers to enjoy a holiday. "A week ago they came FIFTH and now they're having fun and smiling? The bastards!"
Phwoar!
Or if Spurs aren't your cup of tea and you prefer a mature vintage, it's Wenger on a water slide!

On the Wenger front, I found this website quite amusing: http://eaglesthatlooklikearsenewenger.tumblr.com/

It can't all be serious talk of false nines and net spends. Gotta have a bit of fun and post stupid crap every now and then

palace go upI think they deserved it, they had a lot more clear cut chances than the other team who also won't be named.

Any reason why we are not naming the teams? Surely anyone who doesn't want to know the result would avoid threads discussing football?
Anyway, I just watched 'An Impossible Job' in full for the first time in years. What struck me most, aside from the hilarity of Taylor, was that on the first goal away to Holland, Seaman is so far over to one side that he is almost leaning on his left post, making it relatively easy for Koeman to put the ball into the other corner. I had a faint memory from childhood of goalkeepers standing more extremely towards one post on free kicks and was glad to see it wasn't my imagination.

Martinez has resigned as Wigan manager and will hold talks with Everton about the vacancy there. BBC Story.
I still can't decide if he's any good or not, I guess we'll find out if he gets the Everton job. Wigan's defending was terrible at times, but was it due to the quality of player or poor organisation from the manager? If Everton's defence starts making Wigan style mistakes then alarm bells will start ringing. I hope he does well though, I always hope managers who try to play attractive attacking football succeed.
