Yes, a good job last night but against pretty poor opposition. No mistakes and some well taken goals. Shame about the injuries, particularly Danny Rose. We're very thin in specialist squad alternatives on the left but hopefully a week of treatment and he'll be back.

Phew, thank goodness for Paulinho popping up at the end there, I thought it was going to be another of those matches where we have endless shots and somehow don't get a goal. The Cardiff keeper played very well though and made some excellent saves, not all down to our finishing.

I think the Cardiff goal at the end of the first half was rightfully ruled out. We did get lucky with the Lloris handball though which might just have been a fraction outside the area. Having said that, it was impossible to tell without loads of replays and even then it's not 100% certain, so there's no way the ref or the linesman could have been sure enough to give it as a foul. Still, a bit of good fortune for us.

The match was made more tense as we were watching on Al Jazeera over the internet and with 15 minutes to go they geoblocked us! Had to switch to text updates on Twitter for the end of the match, mass bedlam when the goal update flashed up on screen

Edit: just saw the goal on MOTD2, lovely finish from Paulinho. Thankfully we weren't punished for all our missed chances when Gunnarsson had that great chance late on.

Wonder what kind of team we'll put out against Villa in the cup? Third game in six days so I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few changes.

Look no question you battered us and deserved the win , but it was a goal and it was a joke that it was disallowed . Never mind that Lloris should have been sent off or the way the Spurs defence was allowed to get away with blatantly man handling Odemwingie .

        Clattenberg had a dire game

The replays on MOTD2 showed that the Cardiff player (Gunnarsson I think) used his arm to trap Lloris' arm and held him back to prevent him from going for the cross. Nine times out of ten it's something they'll give a free kick for, especially these days when you can't go near goalkeepers any more. The player who headed it in pretty much used Dawson as a stepladder too, both arms on the back, not allowing him to jump which the ref could very easily given as a foul too.

As I said, I agree we did get lucky with the Lloris handball because it was just outside the box, but you can't blame the ref for not spotting it and sending him off. Even slowed right down with multiple replays you can only just see that about half his hand creeps over the line when he touches the ball. The ref would have to have superhuman eyesight and then some to be a able to spot that in real time and give the foul.

I do agree though that there were a couple of fouls we did where I thought our player would get booked (I remember a couple from Dawson in particular) and Clattenberg kept his card in his pocket.

It was clearly a a foul on Lloris, the attacker locked his arm. Cardiff were so unlucky though. Defended so well and really should have scored early on.

Lloris was himself holding Gunnarsson back and pushing him out of the way .

Outside the box and a goal scoring chance Lloris should have walked . That doesn't cover up that Campbell should have scored anyway

              Dawson as a stepladder too,
              .

True, but for the Spurs goal in the Build up play they used Whits has a bit of ladder too . To me it was just that Ben was stronger

As I said a couple of times, not disputing that it was a handball by Lloris and we were lucky that it wasn't spotted. I'm just saying that I think it's wrong to blame the ref for not giving it.

The commentators needed multiple slow motion replays, zoomed right in, to spot that Lloris' hand sneaked over the line by two or three inches. It would be absolutely impossible for the ref to spot that in real time from twenty or more yards away. It's unlucky for Cardiff but there's no way the ref could be anywhere near certain enough to give a foul.

I'm more peed with Cambell to be honest, but It was the countess other misdemeanors missed by the Ref and the lines men that got to me Odemwingie was just man handled by Spurs and Clattenberg did nothing at all .

Really that doesn't get to me that much . The disallowed goal was a bit of a joke tbh . When the ball is played in Gunnarsson is nowhere near the keeper at all

My stream cut out 15-20 minutes from the end so I missed most of Odemwingie's time on the pitch. I would disagree that we got away with countless infringements, but there were some challenges we put in where I was expecting a yellow and we got away with it, and it makes one wonder if a club outside the top six would have been booked more often than we were.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the disallowed goal From the angle they showed on MOTD2 it was pretty clear to me that Lloris had been fouled.

Moving on from the match, it looks like Cardiff are giving themselves a real chance of staying in the Premier League with their home form thus far. Draw with Everton, beating Man City, us needing a last minute winner... doesn't look like any team will go there and have an easy time of it this season.

It was very late but Spurs deserved the win. However it is worrying that we're making plenty of chances but are still short on goals. Great defensive records don't get teams into the top four let alone win the Premiership.

Hey its football and that's the fun of the game . I really saw nothing wrong with it at all and when the ball came into the ball Gunnarsson was nowhere near the keeper.

We got away with a few too , but Odemwingie was man handled and it was right in front of the linesman and yet he does nothing. .

I don't know we have been lucky . Malky is just too defensive, never seems to have a plan b and some of his subs make no sense what so ever add in the lack of pace, lack of a proven regular goal scorer and its going to he hard year .

Indeed Half the time when I'm discussing a match on the train home with my dad and brother it's like all three of us were watching a different game!

I was just going on results as the only match I've seen is the Spurs one, but luck is still a good thing to have on your side. Hope it stays with you for the rest of the season.

Malky is a nice man and has installed a good team sprit and work ethic at the Club, but goals win you matches and Malky is just too defensive minded at times and need to try and playing attack football more at some (not all) games

Replace Malky with Hughton and that quote covers Norwich perfectly too.

Sounds like Mowbray too, anyone who plays one up front at home against weaker opposition should be ran out of town.
