Non contributers editing sales threads in the non-gaming sales forum

As you all may be aware the non-gaming sales forum is only open to contributors selling items ... this means that we will frown upon anyone who decided they didn't want to contribute for a second year.

We have tried a work around to stop people doing this, but the method we tried is effecting those people who continue to contribute so will be altered sometime tonight.

So, in a nutshell, if you no longer contribute to the site (ie you ain't a bluey) then editing sales threads in the non-gaming forum to get around the forum permissions will result in you losing trade status to any of our forums, whether temporary or permanently will be at admin's discretion.

non blues have always been able to post in here - just not create sales threads.

We have found that some people who no longer wish to contribute have been editing old sales threads so that they can continue to benefit alongside those who have decided to contribute again - I have given them a grace period where we have been working around this happening but that period has now ended

It seems that the bloggers aren't able to edit them either. I was talking to TonyDA earlier about this and we both seem to have had our access removed.

I thought mine may have been because i'd slipped off the blue radar (forgot to pay-up again, as being purple I'd not realised by subscription had ended!), but I've paid up now and still can't edit my thread on the non-gaming sales forum.

Spatial101 has posted on my thread saying the mods are aware of the problem, and are trying to fix it though....

Ah, the cost of being a purple boy! John - we'll just have to order some more blu-rays....o)

I wondered why the sales thread was locked and the blue room dissapeared, I ain't even got the fact my username is in purple to hide behind, I just plain didn't notice... will cough up after payday
