Faulty 3G Kindle Keyboard & Official Lighted Red Cover

    BOTH ON HOLD

Selling this on behalf of a friend. http://s399.photobucket.com/albums/p...ey1975/Kindle/

The Kindle has a a broken screen, probably cracked somewhere, about 3/4 of it is stuck on the screensaver, the rest behaves as normal. It's been restored to factory defaults. There is also some damage to one of the holes on the side, you can see it's cracked a bit.

It's a 3G model, and has been removed from my friends Amazon account. Just the Kindle with it's original SIM card, nothing else included. ?20 inc UK postage.

Official Red Lighted Cover, seen in the photo's with a different Kindle to the one above fitted, you're buying just the case ;-) ?20 inc UK postage

BT or PPG please, check my profile for link to feedback

If that case fits a WiFi Keyboard Kindle, could I have it, please?

Also, could you clarify if you say your name like something is tasty
    "mmmmonkey "
    Or like "mer mer monkey"?

Could I in theory create a working 3G model with this and the working Wi-Fi-only model that I have?
      Kept you waiting, huh?

You could buy a replacement screen for it J0e and then sell your WiFi model, if that'd fetch enough to cover both. But, yes, there is a video on youtube showing that you can just replace the screen from one model to the next. Watched it earlier after reading this thread.

I think so J0e, from what i've seen the 3G gubbins are on a seperate sort of MiniPCI card, and the sim is just in a normal sim card holder on the main motherboard. it's theory though, not tried it myself!

What about that damaged hole? Is that the SIM card tray? My keyboard is damaged, so could I put the gubbins from this one inside my case with my screen? Obviously I don't have a SIM card tray, but as long as the SIM can fit inside I'm not fussed as I'm never going to remove it.

the damaged hole is around the clip for the official case, it is just cosmetic damage though, the actual structure inside still functions and holds it in the case. the sim card holder is all internal as i guess amazon never wanted it easy for people to pinch the sim.

Yeah, I reckon you could put the gubbins inside your case with your screen. from what I can remember it unclips quite easily and there's a bunch of screws to remove the battery, board etc etc.

OK, well let me have a little check to be sure, and then I'll take it.

                Thanks bud.
