I wouldn't expect to get one of these at launch ordering now, I imagine they'd been hammered for pre-orders within 10 minutes

seriously? What are you getting for £190? even at £135 it seems like an immense rip off, I normally bum these kinda games, but that price is just taking the piss

What you are getting is probally one of the best games ever, and definatley the best multiplayer game around, ive had mine since dec and not much else has had a look in. its superb and i reckon well worth the money whether £130 or £180.

Yeah that's the code I told Fry to use, but he said it didn't work for him. Worked for me mind.

It only didnt work cause I had already previously used the code just looked back on old orders. The 5% is deffo better option with quidco though.

£189 RRP? Good luck with that whoever's developed it.

You can get consoles for less ffs and this is ONE game - probably doesn't even cost half that price to mass produce each lot of peripherals.

LOL. Have you read anything about this game? For ?135, it's great value.

Amazon have listed the Rock Band products around the same price as Play.

For Play people, what are the chances of getting hit with customs for this? Will it ship from a tax haven or will it be from inside the UK due to the huge size of it? It could explain their price if they're shipping it VAT free at risk to the customer.

The best way of looking at it is how much enjoyment your gonna get from it. A lot of people on the US forums are absolutely loving it regardless of the price (then again, it's half the price of what it will be here). It is an insane amount of money for a few peripherals and a game but if your going to be playing it constantly for say 12 months then it could work out a bargain.

Most 360/PS3 games last me maybe 2-4 weeks before i'm done with them and move on to something else unless they are RPG's etc. So how much do i spend on those over 12 months in comparison to what i would shell out on Rock Band and you see what i'm getting at. If the game is as good and addictive as most people who have it say it is then you probably would'nt be playing owt else, and more than likely wouldnt be buying as many other games.

I remember when WoW came out. I rolled on day one and didn't buy or play another game in almost two years...

Then spent loads of money playing catch up on all the games i'd missed out on...

Having said that tho, i bet i spent a load more than on that, than what Rock Band costs with all the subs and game/expansion etc.

Personally i think it looks a fantastic game and a right laugh. But getting 3 or 4 mates together at my age for a 360 jam session would be on a par with parting the red sea unless we were all **** faced. Will more than likely buy one though as it would be great at parties but i will wait until after it's release tho and see how many are ebayed etc and try and get a bargain.

It's steel battalion all over again
