Joking aside I'd presume it has a lot more to do with companies buying in to the name attached. Clearing out before the deluge of second hand copies rain down on them.

Picked up a 360 copy over the weekend originally with game but they cancelled the order so I then went with gameplay. Still haven't gotten a dispated email from them yet.
