John have you been charged for any customs from b&n before?
Don't know to order more than 1 item at a time as I dont want a ?10+ charge from royal mail!
Got my first parcel today with three blu-rays, the label has it listed as Books with a value of $59:97 but as usual there was no charges raised.

Remember the last day of the sale is the 21st.

Barnes & Noble now has new owners and staff members over there are stating that they've been told that this the last sale of this type that B&N will be running.

John, how long did your parcel take? Mine was shipped on 12th, and i'm not expecting it at all yet...would be good to get a general idea though!

I just went for the budget postage as I was in no desperate hurry to get them. The ones that turned up today were ordered on the 1st but I think I've had them in a couple of weeks in the past.

        EDIT:
I may as well add that a couple of the items that I've ordered have been cancelled by B&N due to stock shortages even though the site still shows them in stock.

My 2 ordered blu rays are out of stock still. Seven Samurai was in stock when I ordered it but was told a couple of days later it was going to be late delivery.
I have a US Panasonic blu ray player from DVD world USA on order now so at least I'll be able to play them when they do eventually ship and arrive!

Just a quick post to remind people that this ends today, they're a US shop so I don't know what time it'll close for us.

                I hate you now!!!

As they announce their releases months in advance I can usually pre-order well in advance and they turn months later without me really noticing that I've actually paid for them.

I also get paid today due to the bank holiday...

I suppose the good news is that due to the price I've been able to take a risk on films that I was unsure of at the full price. The worst thing that can happen is that I don't like a couple of the films but I'l more than likely be able to sell them over here for the same I paid for them anyway.

Not looking forward to any import charges that get slapped on once they reach these shores.

I'm sure you noticed that they have Le Samourai on DVD for $13:99, I was tempted but due to all the Melville blu-ray love that Criterion have at the moment I'm hoping that it'll get a HD release sometime this year.

Supposedly a French Blu Ray of Le Samourai on the way this year from Pathe, hopefully with English subs?

I went for the story of BBS on Blu-ray $52 as opposed to the normal $120 price, about 7 films for ?35.... nice!

It's a fantastic set, I've had it for a while you're in for a right treat bloody there. You'll get to see Jack Nicholson at his absolute best, he had so much ability back then.

I did a bit of a write up about it in the film thread, it's well worth the full price so it really is an absolute steal at that price.

I posted the sale on MUBI and somebody has done a list of the sale items, I've got rid of a lot of their info and added the prices to the list.

Hopefully it'll get subtitles but films released only in France don't always get them, for some reason the French seem worse than others.

                        Hopefully though.
